The problem is not aim assist, the problem is you, FPSs on consoles would be unplayable without aim assist.
Instead of asking to change a fundemanral part of the game, why not instead, change the way that you play the game? Learn how aim assist works, and then learn how to exploit it.
As was pointed out below, if you want to see what no aim assist feels like, go and shoot those drones in the plague lands. I have tried shooting them in the past it is very difficult.

This is really funny. All the people who say it is TOO HARD to play without aim assist and it's hard to aim. All the excuses are just sad. Maybe you are not that good at FPS games? Maybe you can't hit the drone because something like the SIMS is your game. I am probably so annoyed with aim assist because I have been playing FPS games before this handy cap was even a thing on games. Now Bungie shoves it down our throat and gives player the feeling that they are good once they find the most aim assisted weapons. Look at the guy who says, learn how to exploit aim assist. Are you kidding. You want to find the most aggressive aim assist guns. Ones with hidden hand and add that mod. What, so you don't have to try? The game will just improve your skill for you? Great. You have the perception of being good at Destiny because you are using the cheapest gun. I am sure someone reading this is going to think, this guy is butt hurt. You know what, I agree with you. I am. I refuse to stoop to the cheap level on Destiny. I am sick of players being able to jump in the air and get an immediate head shot with out aiming. Just because they were pointing in the general direction and taped the aim button and aim assist did the reset. As soon as Fallout is fully out, I am moving on from this game. Then Battlefield will be out. Then Anthem. Which I hope to god there is no aim assist in Anthem. The PvP cheapness in Destiny is just starting to get overwhelming.

I play Warframe without aim assist and it's stupid easy. The cross hair not getting stuck on one enemy is really nice.
-
You can also turn off aim assist in cod. Like you said it's still there but it greatly helps me out in multi and extremely better headshot ratio in zombies.
-
"The problem is not aim assist, the problem is you, FPSs on consoles would be unplayable without aim assist" There s many FPS on consoles which you can turn off aim assist and works fine. Aim assist is for noobs
-
Which FPSs are these then? I can guarantee you that no FPS completely turns off aim assist.
-
Killzone you can choose to turn it off battlefield which is around more skilful than Destiny
-
If you understood why FPSs used aim assist in the first place, you would know why it can never be completely turned off. This goes back to the point I made originally, why change a fundamental part of a game, when it would be far easier to change your play style? Are you that inflexible that you cannot adapt?
-
Or you just a bad player who needs aim assist? Good players don't need it.
-
Rob all of your characters are 0.8 kd or lower. So how can you say that you don't need aim assist
-
That's irrelevant. Firstly the game also as PVE. Secondly despite my PVP kill ratio of still rather have no aim assist. Nothing skilful or to brag about if you need aim assist. Sure my K/D might be lower without aim assist but at least I could say i did all on my own. I'm not sad enough to care about KD anyway. Just want to be in full control of my own aiming. Aim assist is like having your mother hold your hand whilst you cross a road.
-
If you want no aim assist because u feel like it messes up your aim that is understandable. But you have said that a assist is for noobs and only bad players need it. Everyone who plays destiny has aim assist and yet your KD is negative. This clearly means you are a bad player so stop insulting everyone who plays this game
-
Yeah aim assist sucks. Even as a bad player I still like your parents holding your hand crossing the road. Also, that KD is for PVP. You do realise the game as PVE right? I don't know if you've ever done wrath of the machine. During the vosik encounter and you have to shoot the screens/monitors behind him. Dregs come down and the aim assist locks on to them. It's very frustrating. If people want aim assist that's fine but people should have the option because having no aim assist can actually make the way you play more fun.
-
Your PVE point is totally understandable and I have had that problem but u can't just go around telling ppl aim assist is for noobs because it isn't a choice in destiny so u basically just called everyone a noob
-
With no aim assist though. It might actually balance the game more though. It would make people think more about which weapons to use for certain maps and play style. I don't know if you play battlefield but turn aim assist off it does make it harder but the whole way you play changes it. That's why I say aim assist is for noobs. If give us the option to turn it off I bet hell of alot of people will. Just the noobs will use it.
-
Yh that's fair enough but currently you would b called a noob and the way in which you are speaking suggest you think you are more skilful than most players.
-
No aim assist takes more skill than using aim assist. As I stated it might look even worse as a player but I'm pretty sure anyone would feel more proud of themselves when they're not assisted. That's why I want the option. I don't care if I lose to people who use aim assist. I don't mean I'm skilful. I just want the frredom. I do apologise if my wording is wrong. My way of wording things as never been great.
-
Don't worry I sort of agree with you about it feeling better without aim assist

Editado por Genesis: 6/27/2017 1:52:15 AMWith those kds you seem to need a second helping of aim assist. You certainly aren't one of those players you're referring to
