So, after hours of not being able to find a group for overwatch, I decided to troll on the Destiny forums. I went to trials recruitment, posted that I main some characters from overwatch, and got invited to a party by some fun individuals. I joined the party with no intent on playing destiny, and they were cool, so I hopped on, explained that I'm a potato at this game, and they were like it's okay. Lets play anyway. So I got on destiny for trials, knowing I'm bad because I haven't played daily or even practiced for months. I started my break around 5-6 months ago because I hate what pvp has come to. One person in the party had not been flawless on said account, both players were okay, but my stats are better. I don't play like my stats because my break. I probably perform like a .5 right now. We get it, I do nothing, they carry, we laugh, I tell them I won't hold it against them if they boot me after the first game because I'm bad. They're like nah dude you're our good luck charm. So we play, and play, and 7 wins later, we're sitting at the lighthouse and I'm facepalming until the end of time. I had 4 weapon kills, the whole card. I ended with a .83 for the week. I was trash, but still, I managed to do what a majority of players have not yet done. I was impressed with these people. They performed well, and I rewarded them with laughs and little assistance in game. I don't see how others cant go flawless when my potato arse can after half a year of no daily practice. None the less, these people are what I believe make the community great. They had no reason to invite my trolling self, or a reason to keep me around for the card. Granted their connections were eh so they had an advantage, but that's not their fault. It was a good time, and I'm glad I got on this game, even though pvp is in a garbage state, as am i. *** edit, I have played off and on in the past 6 months... just not daily like I used to, nor as often. Maybe like one or two games, lag, get bs killed, and get off.
