Xbox is a shooter box?
Well it has come to my attention that Xbox is a shooter box because it's two main franchises are shooters, one first person and the other third person. That's right you read that correctly, it's a shooter box with two shooters.....
Now we have Sony on the other hands which its exclusives are all scripted third person action adventure games that heavily focus graphics and story with little focus on fun gameplay.

Sony adventure games
The last of us
Uncharted
Horizon
Nioh
Days gone
Nier
God of war
Planetside 2
Seems like Playstation is for the casual gamer who wants their handheld through the game.

1 RespuestaFor better and for worst, that's the reputation that the Xbox brand has. I guess it has something to do with the fact FPS's were mostly associated with the PC, and then Bungie released Halo on the original Xbox. Microsoft's console division owe everything to Bungie and the Masterchief, without Halo, I doubt the Xbox brand would still be around today. And then the 360 was the home of Halo, Gears of War and Call of Duty. Not to mention all the other FPS's that came out last gen. The Xbox brand is also the preferred brand for pro-gamers and competitive gamers and e-sports are dominated by a lot of FPS's.

I loved my years with Halo and Gears on the Xbox 360, and shooters were the reason I stuck with Xbox instead of going to the PS3. But now cross platform shooters have taken over and the PS4 has so many more exclusives of all genres. I feel like Microsoft's corporate approach to games has let the Xbox games library lag. I know Microsoft tried to broaden their line-up with the 1 year Tomb Raider exclusivity, but all that move did was piss off Tomb Raider fans and hurt the franchise. They really should salvage Scalebound and show Xbox owners that they care about games. [spoiler]Playing the back catalog of remastered PS3 exclusives has been great. I'm currently playing through the Uncharted remaster collection and dang, those games are awesome! As an Xbox player, I had no idea. Next up is Heavy Rain.[/spoiler]

This has to be a troll thread. Planetside 2? That's a 3rd person adventure game? NieR? The story focused JRPG with Platinum gameplay? That's an adventure game? Like who? What? When?

Let's as not forget that Uncharted and TLoU are pretty much the same game. Like Days Gone, Horizon is just a generic open world snoozefest. The Last of Us does [u]not[/u] fun gameplay. I'm not saying those Xbox exclusives are particularly good, but Microsofts indie market is far stronger.
