WTF is up with Crucible this weekend?
Did something change in the Clash playlist, or the Crucible overall? I can barely even go positive. Last week in Iron Banner, which is usually the worst of the worst, I could actually hold my own. But this weekend feels like I'm always sucking worse than ever. Red bar gods abound. Invincible guardians. I played all day yesterday trying to complete some hunter quests for the book, and was getting some of my lowest K/Ds ever. This morning isn't much better. What's the deal?

2 RespuestasI don't know about all of that, but I do know my fusion rifle consistency has been atrocious lately. I've practically shoved the barrel down their throats and watched them eat all 7 bolts only to lose maybe 1/4 of their shield. Then 2 games later I'm mapping people and only seeing damage numbers from 2 or 3 bolts pop up while they evaporate.

1 RespuestaLot of glitch users too. Seen quite a few players using the instant shoulder charge glitch...at one point they managed to do it from around a corner (we were all green barring). Couple of matches a Titan managed to use Striker moves like Stormfist despite being a Defender.

I find that I'm constantly swept up as fodder for organised fireteams and go through long patches where I feel like I'm not in sync with the competition. e.g : I start a 1v1 only to die before I've seen the guy get two shots off. I suspect on the other side they're seeing an entirely different game.

the sbmm is at the highest atm, only titans with sc glitch, ghost bullets on almost every weapon just to let new players think they are gods - they'll definitely buy D2 - thats why im saying Destiny is NOT competitive...

1 RespuestaYou just have to adapt. That's all. I started playing Destiny again a couple of weeks ago for the first time in like 14 months. At first in the Crucible, I was the worst. Died a lot. Couldn't string together kills, it was rough, especially considering how good I once was. I'm beginning to back in the flow, occasionally having the dominant games that I used to have consistently. I play Destiny on both consoles (I've only had the PS4 for a few months, so I main Destiny on the Xbox) and I have noticed a few differences: - I've noticed is that the average player is better than the average player used to be. I'll check destinytracker after I'm done with the Crucible to see how good my opponents were, but I've noted that I don't come across any top 1000 player or really any dominant "pro" Destiny player. - Despite having the exact same internet connection for both consoles, I'll consistently either have a worse connection on the PS4 or having players (both teammates and opponents) have bad connections. This is probably due to that the Xbox mostly has players in the US/NA whereas since the PS4 is the most popular console in the world, I'll play with people from all over the world. Not to say Xbox doesn't have non-US players, it's just they don't have as much as PS does.

Falling player base The number of players will get a slight increase every IB but connections aren't as good because fireteams screw up the small amount of cbmm in the matchmaking algorithm. From now until D2, the number of players is going to continue to drop and mismatched teams / bad connections are going to get worse. Some times you will end up with players worse than you. Some times you will end up with players better than you. The problem is (with your stats) if you end up against players worse than you, then you are going to stomp them and teams are going to get broken up rather than stay in the same lobby.

So you're more likely to get matched with people who are much better than you....and players who are much worse than you. Plus---in many instances----its only the real tryhards who are still playing the Crucible. Which means you can run in to some really obnoxious players. I was playing this week (for the first time in a while) because I needed to win 10 matches to complete my FWC exotic class item quest for my Hunter. While playing Clash I ran into this one Defender Titan who would----every time his team fell behind, and I assume he was risking going negative-----would just start throwing sticky grenades everywhere. Not just the occasional one. He would abandon ANY effort to use his guns and would just spam sticky grenades. I almost NEVER Tilt or rage.......but when he had killed me for the forth time in a row (all post mortems) doing that crap...I had to close my eyes and count to 10..... ....before I switched to Bladedancer and Blink.

Since only the hardcore fan base is really pumping serious hours in at this point, it means you are stacked against players who really know how to work it. Makes it tough to compete.

I don't have a problem with this anymore since I lost the desire to play crucible altogether. I only play it to get the weekly treasure. I can tell you.. I feel a lot less stressed out now

I just use invis bladedancer with universal remote and khepris sting, I do fine for the most part.

My experience with the Crucible since AoT: Me: Sees friend in online friends list. Checks activity. Skirmish. Me: Ques match for skirmish. Matchmaking takes 14 minutes (I counted.) It's the Drifter. (My k/d is automatically lower because of that map in itself.) Sees friend, we wave to each other. Barely glimpses the red glare of a red and black sniper rifle. The one that has no scope. [spoiler]gets sniped.[/spoiler]

I had the same experience I had to hang back and switch to a high impact scout in order to go positive at one point I gave two opponents a cluster bomb facial only to watch both scurry away with a sliver of health I've never seen it soo bad kept checking during load in and during game play most players were green bar but lag was defiantly the problem

And I am also finding people with good connection. Also my brother and I play on different Xboxes and somehow found each other when matchmaking so I agree on the low player database. I even got my first relentless medal!! Edit: Also I never get killed by by palindrome. Usually it's just pulse rifles.

This week in skirmish at least 1 red bar on the enemy team, trials lag fest and why try 6v6 when everyone is using sticky grenades with no interest in shooting you with a primary unless it's universal remote.[spoiler]re-downloaded Cod.[/spoiler]
