I see both sides of this, I love mysteries and discovering the secrets of mysterious people in a universe but I love having solid ground work for a game.
While d1 was not solid it was ground work, we now know who the players are, we know why we can do what we do, we know why these kooks are coming for us, we know the people we fight for. This is something that we don't have in a lot of games, it's usually just a cutscene that shows the background of what's going on. We got 3 years of background info. We have pages of info on our enemies in the world. With this in mind, there are still unsolved mysteries, as mentioned but those might be solved in future updates.
If you look at the expansion pass you see two logos, the eye of Osiris and that mark we see on everything Rasputin, these are two very interesting subjects that I'd love to get my hands on. These two expansions could give us some closure.
However, I see where this guy is coming from, it's a slap in the face to know that some mysteries will be forgotten. But there are mysteries in other games that are answered the deeper the story gets. We need to ride this out, and see where bungie takes us next.
and see where bungie takes us next.
They take us to the bank my friend, addons and expansions. They want our money plain and simple.

Haha, "ground work"....you mean a 3yr long beta? I mean it was pretty obvious to me within months of the actual game launch back in 2014 that what was delivered had very little to do with what was revealed in 2012....
