Ok, so I am starting to really dislike like smith after his latest interview about Destiny 2. Is bungie's new purpose to just shaft everyone loyal and passionate to destiny? Do they only support the whiny PvP noobs that get them more money? I don't think I've ever been this angry/passionate about destiny before.
Just, watch this......

Watched, listened to it. What I find more shocking is: 1) he was put back in charge of Destiny development. 2) many of you are actually surprised that Luke comes off as a arrogant sob. No offense to his mother intended. 3) He is such an ass that he can't even wait until the game release to show his true colours, which he beautifully revealed in this interview. Nothing has changed, once again they have pursued their own agenda, following the same formula because of us. That model WORKED FOR THEM. If we will eat that mess they served in D1 why would they really change anything they are doing in D2.

NO RUMBLE AT LAUNCH.

2 RespuestasYes. Bungie is about money. Why is that surprising or new? Why else would they do all this if not for money? If you dont want to give them your money, thats fine! You have the right to be unimpressed and buy something else. We have lots of choices in gaming these days.
-
Everybody just watch...the next TWAB will be nothing but damage control to a quiet the crowd. They don't want the word to get out that destiny 1 was nothing but "issue zero." And that your previous progress was scrapped for a "new massive story experience" ( heavy on the quotations)
-
It's like Luke Smith reached in and ripped all of Destiny 1's players dicks off. Bungie needs to fire that twat.
-
Why must everyone cry all the time. Don't you guys get tired of crying?

2 RespuestasAfter what happened to Glenn, who can blame the stranger for not coming back?
-
That's Luke Smith for you. He's an arrogant asshole who doesn't give two shits about the Destiny community, or the hours that many have poured into the game and lore. Yet, Bungie puts him back in charge of D2 after the multiple issues that he has caused. This only goes to show that they haven't learned anything from the community. And... they don't have to because many will purchase the game anyway. I'm sure it will be fun, just as D1 has been, but they don't learn anything because the money keeps getting thrown at the screen no matter what poor business decisions they make.

Editado por SolarCerberuS: 6/16/2017 1:14:55 AMIts all about the $$$ these days, shareholders and corporate of both publishers, devs and investing companies want more and more back on their investment (who doesnt), and want to do less and less to get it. As long as the gamers keep buying the product/s the practice will continue, that and lets be real majority of gamer expectations are quite absurd these days. Many gamers want everything for almost nothing, hell they even whinge about paid dlc these days and micro trans for cosmetics apparently they deserve to have everything for the price of the original game purchase.

1 RespuestaDoes he own the company or something? Why on earth was he given power?

2 RespuestasThe Lore of Bungie 1. The Start of Bungies fall… When Bungie left Microsoft their loyal fan base (I was included) stayed with Bungie for many reasons; reasons that I do not want to list at this point because the current Bungie has taken a $$it on them. I will call this fan base “Legends”, Legends; because we were with Bungie since Day 1 and no, I am not talking about day 1 with Destiny…. We all heard about the project that Bungie wanted to work on and the innovative experiences they wanted to develop long before ODST. We heard how MS put their thumb on Bungie and forced them to continue the Halo series, hence why we had ODST and Reach. Bungie still had a drive to build a new game that would blow the doors off the of gaming industry, which lead to the separation during Halo 4, and 343 took the mantle. 343 DESTROYED the entire Halo series in one game; Halo 4, and just to make sure it was down their double tap in Halo 5. 2. Bungie is on its own… With funds dwindling and its “Aerospace” program, not bringing in the revenue to help the studio deliver the funds needed for Destiny the hard decision was made to form a relationship with Activision. I truly believe Bungie thought or was misled that they were going to have complete development control and rights to Destiny. With the investment of funds from Activision, and the “Lure” for additional income/players/fan base from Sony (Sony players always wanted a Halo type game, something that Sony was never able to deliver until Destiny) Destiny was born. 3. The Fall of Bungie… When Bungie showed the FAT CATS at Activision the finished product they realized the income maker they invested in would reap huge profits. They also realized they could cut up the game and x2 and even x3 their profit margin by not doing any additional development and release snippets of the game. The original Devs and Bungie leadership saw this, did their best to stop it, and failed, hence why almost all of them are gone. 4. Now…. There is still a large fan base made up of Legends, we remember what we were promised in D1, which was never delivered because of Activision and the new leadership of Bungie. We started voicing our concerns on the forum only to be bullied by a new fan base that developed from D1 and have no CLUE of the Lore of Bungie since the beginning. Their allegiance was forged by playing D1, not knowing what it was intended to be. During D1 Activision and Bungie was in damage control because of the complete cut and paste of D1. 5. Then… Activision and Bungie needed to shed the expatiations from D1. They also needed to uncouple the future of Destiny because of their cut and paste job, and how their Damage Control actually made things worse for the game and its future; they also needed a new story line. How do you do that? You ridicule the original Legend fan base, only listen, and cater to the whims of your new fan base filled with Millennials. You also shelve the original direction of D1 and start different direction as Bungie said it is doing in D2, this is done so the future 10 year plan is not anchored by the original promises. The Execs believe they can do this because the fan base that is throwing money at the screen is larger than the Legend fan base. Activision and Bungie Exes are forcing the Legends to make the decision to stay or go, way they do not care because the Millennials is their primary source of income. What we, the Legends need to accept is; that the D1 that we were promised will never come to fruition. We either accept the future direction of Destiny or go.

I really hope this arrogance end up being the end of Destiny, can't wait to see all these fools at Bungie out of a job and flipping burgers. Luke Smith, say it with me "would you like that for here or to go". Lmao

I never liked smith

4 RespuestasIt is almost unbelievable how disconnected from their community they are. Almost too unbelievable. Almost as if they tell us experienced players she won't come back so that when she does come back it makes us happier. Hmm. That definitely couldn't be it.
-
To me Destiny Lore(in game) is just a random assortment of interactions. Not stories that you follow, just brief little interactions that you get a taste of, and then doesn't yield any satisfying conclusion. Here's hoping for a cohesive story for Destiny2.

1 RespuestaI really couldn't care less about the Exo Stranger. It has always been the gameplay that has brought me back to Destiny.
-
funny how he took a few statements in the way he wanted to see them in. the Queen for instance. thinking bungie reduced mara sov to a cosplay caharcter, which is no way how it was said. luke smith said we see it in the way people that cosplay the characters and love them, meaning they can see the passion we have for the characters. the original story for destiny was botched and they have admitted that. the taken king was a way to fix alot of ploblems of story telling. the exo stranger was probably only there to introduce us to the vex. not everything needs to be explained. what year was your character born, did they have a family, who is zhavala parents. yes it would be nice to find out more about the exo stranger. but dont forget that it was her that came to find us, told us about the vex and the black garden. shes got her own things to do.

2 RespuestasEditado por Emi: 6/15/2017 11:13:54 PMDid everyone forget she left over 3 years ago? We haven't seen nor heard of her since. Would you rather he said nothing about the exo stranger, and just kept everyone wondering what happened to her? She was just a plot device, a quest giver, a stranger. We may never know who she was, her intentions, or who she was talking to. She could be dead for all we know. I understand the... frustration of this story never being told. But, is it that important to some people? So important that they will leave the game and it's sequel behind?

Queen is 1 of 2 characters the players actually attached too. Don't worry Cade will be back with snappy one liners. Sad
-
In a word, yes.

Link doesnt work. Anyone have one?

10 RespuestasThat video user makes their opinions known. I personally don't agree with them. It's a video game and one where, if you don't want to spend hours and hours doing something? Then don't. The context of what Luke Smith was actually saying is not that and when you get old enough to realize the specific context of those statements is something positive, not negative, and should only be taken as positive because he is not trashing people or cosplayers or otherwise? Then you can call yourself mature. Again, I've seen a lot of hate towards him which begs to question who is in their low 30's and well beneath that threshold. You do not build ANY experience on the rants of people. You build the positive experience by simply putting feedback down where discussion is not needed and the constructive criticism is, "I agree because of these three reasons" and then explain that. Talking about cosplayers as if Mara Sov was reduced to that? I took one hearing of that and the first thought was, "What is so bad about cosplaying? You see it all the time at conventions, ect. if you would ever go to one." Luke is speaking about the direction of story telling with this. He's basically saying the Exo stranger questions on the forums, and in the game, as well as the mysterious element people like? It's wrapped up nicely for D1. No, that doesn't mean anything for later in other games. No, that doesn't mean their won't be other instances where it will be utilized. If you dislike it that much, wait for the reviews, watch a few videos, and make a decision. This is not difficult by any stretch of the imagination.
