The weirdest thing happened.
I was trying to level up my Titan to 40, so I ran a legacy strike. The matchmaking was surprisingly fast, and I got a team in less than a minute. After the strike, I go to l the tower to decode engrams, then I switch to my warlock main. Then I load up a match of zone control. One of the players on the enemy team was one of the people who did the strike with me. The chances have to be so low. I run a legacy strike with Jim randomly, then I switch to a whole different character, then we get into a crucible match together.

I played with nKuch yesterday in clash. I wave, he no respond. He took kills from me. Me sad.

Nah man you can't beat my shit. Load up the tower one day and I just walk up to the cryptarch. Decode a blue and just start getting bounties and crap. The moment I exit the screen I see someone. One of my best online buddies. He wasn't even in my fireteam. We casually wave and then he joins up on me. Proceed to destroy Destiny's bosses. Out of everyone in the world I go to the tower and match with a friend. We also happen to be in the same general area of the tower. Can't beat that. [i]~Sentinel America[/i]

I was having a conversation with someone on these forums last year, a pleasant one for a change, on the app while I was at work. I got home and went into Destiny, flew down to the Tower and he was standing right in front of me at the Vault! Coincidences happen.

One time I was playing rumble then next game I went to clash and there was somebody from the rumble match there

9 RespuestasI was once in a tower lobby with this one girl. She was in a fireteam with two dudes. I walked up to her and waved (she waved back), I did the proposal emote, she messaged me about a minute later with "aww, how cute ^_^" I waved one more and went to orbit. I felt like playing some elimination, so I selected that playlist. About 30 seconds of waiting and 2 other randoms join up. Another minute goes by and whaddaya know... the same girl and her fireteam show up I told her "Well.... well.... well... this must be fate" She laughed and said maybe it is I beat them 5-2 and one of her teammates quit. After about a week of talking she gave me her number. Flash forward a few months and she now sends me noodz on the regular without me even asking her to [spoiler]whether you believe me or not is all up to you[/spoiler]

When I solo queue I've run into some of the same local people a bunch. It's mostly in PvP, not sure I've matched the same folks in both. But definitely recognize folks with obviously local gamertags, etc.

My first week of year 3 trials i played against 2 of my good friends in real life on my first game.

1 RespuestaI joined a team of LFG randoms for a raid, and after we finished and disbanded, I ended up in the same Tower as one of them.

In pvp I'm always being matched up with a handful of gamers. And see the same guys in the tower time after time. Its the connection based match making. Puts you into lobbies with players who more then likely live in your general area and therefore have a good connection to you. If you live in a smaller city with less players around you're more likely to see the same crew all the time.

I had a randomguy friend request me after a crucible game, few weeks later saw him in a streamer s montage getting wrecked in trials.

Did a raid with some guy a two days ago then yesterday I got in a crucible match with him randomly.

Once I ran into my friend in the tower. I don't know if he lives in a completely different place than nearby where I live (he probably does) but it was fun. We danced.

Saw triplewreck in the tower.

A couple of times I ended up in my friends game randomly. First time was patroling the Dreadnaught right when TTK launched, second time I bound a match in progress in the crucible to find my friend and his brother.

2 RespuestasDestiny uses location. Ive loaded into plenty of towers with phillykid215 or some variation of that in my tower and then played control and they were there. Ive loaded into towers switched characters and loaded back into the same tower i was in before. Chances arent low but they arent too high either
