Finally caved and started overwatch
Im honestly really surprised at how much fun im having. Ive talked a lotta smack about it in the past, and a friend picked it up for to play with her.
Im genuinely excited now when i start talking about character counters, strategies, team comp, and even general gameplay mechanics.
Id have to say my "main" is zenyetta. I love playing the role of a healer and debuffer while being able to dps at all at the same time.
Sombra is my fallback character and i love her for seeking to points, around teams to the flag or payload and she can really shut down anyone with a good quick hack if you can pull it off.
Im lvl 24 and going to take my placements asap and words of wisdom from yall?
Edit: should add im just a lowly console peasant playing on ps4

Honestly I stopped playing that. Ultra repetitive. I would always play as Sombra though, that was decent.

1 RespuestaTips for competitive. Don't dive in as soon as you hit 25. Why? It's a sweatier environment than anywhere else in game, naturally. And there are some people who will not hesitate to yell at you. I'm not saying that's okay. I'm only saying you want to make sure you've got a few heroes in every role you're comfortable with and maybe even take a friend or two into placements. Know most matches take longer than quick play or arcade and have higher requirements for victory. Try to understand team composition. Zenyatta will be welcomed often. He's an excellent choice all around. Good luck!

Don't jump straight into comp. Honestly, i pay mystery heros a lot. I can be fairly effective with most characters now, though the snipers are still my worst. Being able to use more characters effectively is always a bonus. You can be a god level zen, but if other team is punishing squishys, being able to switch to and effectively use a counter to them makes you a more valuable teammate. Along with that goes nott having tunnel vision, and recognizing when you need to switch off of your preferred characters.

Do not take your placements ASAP if you want to be ranked as high as possible. Wait until you feel like youve mastered a good bit of the gameplay and mechanics and wait until youre atleast level 50.

I played a free weekend of it with a couple friends and still wouldn't buy it for 60$. Sure reinhardt or whatever that dudes name is was my main and he was fun to play as but overwatch is a meh game

It's a great game. I struggled with it at first, but I'm getting better. It's a surprisingly deep game. Probably one of the best PvP games I have played.

4 RespuestasAll round team Como matters. No point picking a 4rth DPS when your team has no healers (but considering you main zenyatta you'll probably do fine). Also know when to switch. If your being hard countered by an enemy and can't get a kill, probably switch. If you get a ten player kill streak, die and then get spawn killed, not a good time to switch. Last thing: hanzo and widow maker are rarely taken seriously (personal experiences and reddit) so if you can play them, go ahead. If not, prepare for "widow plz switch your not doing anything"
