Destiny 2 will prove to be more than a cash grab. Considering they are already selling the "Expansion Pass", one can only wonder.....
Edit: Thank you everyone! I'm trending #1 and I'm not even a kiss ass! Lol!

5 RespuestasRemember when all year 3 DLC in Destiny 1 was supposed to be free? Me too. Destiny players who bought all of the D1 DLC before it was included in bundles or the price was lowered have spent somewhere around $200 dollars on the first game in the franchise. You'd think Bungie would stop trying to take so much of our money by now but, nope. They advertise cash grabs for a game that isn't even in it's beta stage yet. That's pathetic.

11 RespuestasYour entering Destiny Beta 2.0. I'm sure they'll make some improvements based off of the first game, but they keep trying new things to make PVP more balanced so that the game can eventually become MLG/E-Sport worthy. And they'll simply just try to "make it work" in PVE. Everything from the weapons loadout restrictions to re-working of the supers and support abilities was done for the purpose of making PVP easier to balance without having to separate PVE from PVP. In effect, they're trying out something new to get around doing what pretty much everyone wants them to do: Separate PVE from PVP. The results I think are still going to be the same. Even if it works, D2 will be a largely PVP-driven game, and there will likely be no sense of power progression in PVE. PVE without power progression becomes really tedious, repetitive, and boring. It's like they decided to cater to the ultra-sweaties in PVP, and the ultra-casual players in PVE, and anyone in between be damned.

Crimson , fot, & shit like that. Cash grabs. Don't need to be in this game , or any game.

20 RespuestasDoesn't appear to be the case, they've taken nearly none of the player feedback and implemented it. So beta year 4 will commence in September.
-
A lot of games ship with season passes nowadays, because the devs have more material fleshed out than will actually fit in whatever budget corporate gives them. Or they simply realize they won't have enough manhours to complete it.
-
2 RespuestasNice!! Way to prove a non ass kisser can finish first.
-
3 RespuestasI don't think we're actually beta testing. In beta testing any software, feedback and recommendations are taken by the developer and implemented into the software, thereby making it better and more usable by the user (or more fun for the gamer). Bungie doesn't do that. In fact, many times they have done exactly the opposite. I don't think we're testing the game. I think the game is testing us.

15 RespuestasAlmost every game sells season passes now. But good try on the bait.

Destiny 2: Finally Finished the Beta

10 RespuestasAll companies are looking at different ways to make money. That's why they exist. A lot of people use that term "Cash grab" like they believe that a company can't look to increase their income. I have nothing against it as long as it's not Pay to Win. They've rode a tight line but have never crossed into that so I'm hopeful they'll stay that course.
-
4 RespuestasWill someone please define "cash grab?" Cause these forums give the impression that a business trying to make more money defines "cash grab."
-
2 RespuestasI can't wait for a more story driven game. I really want to venture in to the new worlds with my friends. PvP can suck it.
-
6 RespuestasLet me guess, the pass only covers the first 2 dlcs?
-
9 RespuestasDestiny sucks shit and so will D2, best to play other games👎🏻
-
1 RespuestaWhile not a cash grab, Eververse will play a larger role and we'll have to pay to play PvP modes larger than 4v4, IMO.
-
7 RespuestasActivision ( and Bungie in this case )have been slowly introducing more and more micro transactions in Destiny over time each one bringing us closer and closer to pay to win. I can't see this policy changing in Destiny 2.
-
6 RespuestasWe're almost half way through the whole ten year beta already.
-
9 RespuestasThey're selling the expansion pass before release like literally every other major game that has a season pass/expansion pass does........

2 Respuestashttps://archive.org/stream/357988-bungie-activision-contract/357988-bungie-activision-contract_djvu.txt //1 A. Release Plan The release plan for the Destiny Games ("Release Plan") is currently comprised of four (4) major retail Destiny Game releases tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and four (4) Comet releases following each Destiny Game release tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020. In addition, as part of the Destiny Games Licensor shall also produce DLC Releases as mutually agreed by the parties in the time periods between retail Destiny Games and Comet releases. The expected business model for the Products is a blend of retail packaged goods sales (although the parties acknowledge and agree that the future retail model for iterations of the Destiny Games may be via digital download rather than disk or packaged goods), subscriptions, downloadable content, value-added services and micro-transactions, the exact mix of which shall be determined by mutual agreement of Licensor and Activision. Pricing strategy for the Products shall be subject to mutual approval, provided in the event of a deadlock, Activision shall have the tie-breaking vote. Activision will have control and final approval over all decisions relating to retail sales and promotions, discounts, rebates, etc., provided that Activision shall meaningfully consult with Licensor on such decisions in advance. // So its 2017...And Destiny Two is just now coming out?

5 RespuestasEditado por Scottgun00: 6/6/2017 8:34:23 PMIt seems many developers these days plan their dlc in advance (and sell it at a discount in advance). It's actually not that new a concept. Quite frankly, this seems preferable to having no idea what the expansions are going to be and then cobbling something together, so I don't what the scare quotes around Expansion Pass are about.
-
4 Respuestas
Considering they are already selling the "Expansion Pass",
are you new? Every game has season passes you can buy with pre-orders.
