Super excited. I couldn't be happier with how the Phil Spencer and the Xbox team is handling the Scorpio. I'm expecting a higher price than the Xbox One, obviously, but I think their surprise us with a price around the Pro. Sony would be smart to lower the price of the Pro if that happens.

I have been saying for a couple months that if MS was smart they would price it at the same price as the Pro. The more powerful machine at the same price.
-
It should be around the price of the Pro if they are looking to be really competitive, which they are. I'd put money on it being $450.
-
$500 max but $450 would be sweet
-
The highest I could possibly see it being is $609 but I seriously doubt it. I'm guessing $400-$500 but on the lower end of that spectrum.
-
Yup, I'm in total agreement.
-
The is no way they will sell it at or around $400, it'll be $500 at least, but I'm betting on $600
-
I can see it being $500. That seems reasonable to me. But, and I speak for myself, I always said I wouldn't care what price they put on their boxes (Xbox or PS) as long as the hardware pulled no punches.
-
Microsoft isnt dumb enough to sell a console at 600 lol
-
They were dumb enough to force people to buy the Kinect + XB1 for $500 so...
-
I think they were dumb for not selling an xbone without the kinect at launch
-
Remember the PS3...
-
What does that have to do with the price of Scorpio?
-
I was pointing that out that the PS3 sold for 600 at launch since you claimed Microsoft charged ridiculous prices for things
-
But that $600 price point almost killed the PS3. if Microsoft does anything well it is learning from the mistakes of its competition.
-
Thanks for pointing that out but it still has nothing to do with what I've been saying in this discussion. I know Sony overpriced the PS3 at launch and Microsoft turned around and did the same thing with XB1.
-
I think people learned better after ps3
-
That won't happen. That's way too much of an outlier for the industry. It would be suicide for the system.

Phil Spencer has said it is a premium console that will sell at a premium price. They aren't trying to catch Sony and their 60 million units sold with Scorpio. They have basically accepted the L this generation.
-
Premium price for a console is $500. Anything more is too much deviation. I never said they were trying to catch up. The Xbox team has identified that this time they have been behind has made them very fan-oriented and as someone who plays on both consoles it's pretty obvious. They are pretty happy with where they have landed and a lot of fans are too.
-
I wasn't implying that you think they are trying to close ground on Sony. Spencer also said they don't expect to sell loads of units, which just goes hand-n-hand with the price point I think they are aiming at. Personally I hope it's at $500 or less, I want one when I see a few games I want, but I'm preparing myself for a $600 price tag so if it does cost that much I don't tell MS to go F themselves.

Editado por Psychic Donuts: 6/7/2017 4:57:11 PM$600 is the highest I could see it possibly being. It would be higher than any other console so they could just say "premium blah blah" and play it off. I'm still guessing it will be around $500 though. Microsoft is not trying to directly compete with Sony anymore. Some shitty administration back at the launch of the Xbox One made sure Sony was in the lead. Microsoft is now using their possession of Windows and, I guess, pure power now to give themselves some type of edge.
