When the Beta launches, be specific with your criticisms.
Don't say something is overpowered. Explain why it's overpowered.
Don't immediately judge something after one experience with it. Wait awhile and see if it grows on you.
Don't complain about people complaining. That literally accomplishes nothing and adds nothing to conversation.
See what the community is saying and be civil. If someone disagrees with you, ask them to elaborate. You might see a different perspective and change your opinion or sharpen theirs.
We want Destiny 2 to be better than D1. Let's not make the same mistakes.

Edit: Just one small addition. As much as I'd like to say this is my post, it's really all of ours. We want Bungie to trust that we know what is best for this game and see that we truly know its ins and outs. It's obvious we care about it, hell, we downloaded the app.

There is no need to insult others because they have different opinions about the game. We are eagerly looking forward to the Beta and everyone finally getting their hands on Destiny 2.

while I agree with this, make sure to also put in what you like and why.. there are always two sides, make sure you appreciate them both so the game can be as good as possible.

Can't say much about a beta too, it's meant to fix issues the public finds. When the game launches, and a few updates go by, then id criticize it.

Good advice. Now, we must remember that Destiny have player from all over the world. Each with different levels of education and different ages. Different religions and values. Different problems. People with clinical issues either physical or mentally and those that haven't been diagnosed. And the ones that they're just ...well. With this, anything will be received by the community with different levels of acceptance and understanding. And that's what's missing. Understanding! But that is missing both ways.

No blanket nerfs! How many times did you see one particular gun doing a little too well, and you nerfed the entire gun type/archetype. Too many... I'm sure at some point one particular pulse riffle or hand cannon will be a little too far on the strong side to the point you feel the need to do something about it, don't nerf that gun and every other gun like it into oblivion please.

I hope d2's beta isn't 1/4 of the ENTIRE base game that was a Huge disappointment for me. I remember thinking the story in the beta is barely any of the game so the stuff they aren't explaining now will be fleshed out in the full game. [spoiler]no...no it wasn't[/spoiler]

Plays beta. Finds an issue in beta. Comes to forums and complains about issue. Bungie fixes issue while at the same time causing 10 more issues.
