Mars has been here the longest and still doesn't have a raid
It's the first planet we see when we fired up Destiny for the first time.

Edit: Oh for -blam!-s sake. When you start up the damn game you watch the opening cinematic first with three Astronauts on MARS.
No where in the OP did I imply it was what your character first sees. I honestly find it sad that the first thing some people think of when I say 'you' is their virtual character, not themselves.
Go outside.
Edit 2: There will not be a raid on mars in D2 because there is no mars in D2. Stop saying this. It's getting annoying.

2 RespuestasAlways thought it was strange that they took such a creative license with Venus but went with what Mars is kinda like. Venus at one time heck even Carl Sagan thought that Venus had the closest environment to Earth. Turns out that was wrong [quote]At the surface, the atmosphere presses down as hard as water 3,000 feet beneath Earth's ocean. The average temperature on Venus is 864 degrees Fahrenheit (462 degrees Celsius)[/quote] Mars on the other hand has a very thin atmosphere and temperatures while extreme -195 in the winter it can get to 70 degrees in the summer. Plus as you say Mars is where we met the Traveler you would think Mars would be further along in the Terraforming and be more of a metropolis than it is now. It is speculated that while the Traveller did not create the Black Garden his arrival on Mars helped it into existence. So I guess Bungie thought since Mars has the Black Garden and that was the culmination of the story line, the other planets needed some love and a raid.

And now theirs some new cabal emblem with pre orders with a broken chalice on it? This is all foggy as I read it forever ago but maybe we will get this raid now in some form
