Auto rifles have a TTK between .8 and .93 sec
Hand Cannons have a TTK between .8 and 1.0 (except for the last word hitting all max damage headshots while firing full auto)
When it comes to what Handcannons people use. They stick with the 81 impact 22 RoF types which doesn't include the last word and kills in .87 sec. (optimal)
When people use auto rifles most people are running either genesis chain or bullet hose.
Gemesis Chain kills in .83 sec and bullet hose autos kill in .87 sec optimal.
These autos also kill in 1.17 sec and 1.07 sec respectively doing only body shots.
And the popular hand cannon type kills in 1.3 sec body shot damage.
So not only are they extremely close, and very competitive with each other in terms of TTK, but the autos have much better body shot TTKs.
So your assessment is clearly incorrect. It's obvious that you are just a cry baby handcannon victim.
Go get an atheon's epilogue and you'll be fine.

Yeah I feel people forget that, the meta isn't arbitrarily decided it's backed by numbers and Optimal ttk, range and how easy it is to reach the optimal ttk, there's science behind it

Just want to put it out there... Some hand cannons can achieve optimal TTK with one headshot and two body shots. Auto rifles on the other hand need to have very precise accuracy for their entire mag to secure optimal TTK. So even if they have similar stats, HCs are more reliable, plus they have more accuracy in the air.

great post, to add to it, HC are not easier to use as you have less bullets meaning to miss a shot is far more disastrous than missing one AR bullet on the target.

Look at how many shots a auto needs to land for a kill, then compare that to a hand cannon. The time to kill doesn't matter unless your accuracy with the auto is 100% which is impossible. Accuracy with a hc is way easier. Also, dont forget about luck in the chamber!

You do realize for an auto to get the optimal ttk, you must land ALL headshots which is impossible with a bullethose and a genesis chain has lots of recoil and severe damage falloff and lacks aim assist. All it takes for a handcannon is one headshot and just spam body's. You think that just bc the ttk is similar means they are balanced. With that logic, tlw and vex mythoclast and High impact pulses would be the best guns in the game.

Dude I have 70,000 kills with hand cannons 40,000 with autos. The point is flat out a HC will wreck an auto. HCs don't really flinch. One hit flinches the auto and all target acquisition is gone. The ttk is not real in game ttk. Sure if the guy stands still not shooting. Man I can count two or three in the time it takes to body guy. All my god roll auto are broken I guess. If you think you can take down a hand cannon in a heads up fight all shots hitting you a wrong. If you hear him fire more than 3 shots you should have lost but he missed. Go play with an auto and count the shots he fired if you win the fight. You will see he fired at least 4 or 5. That ttk is bs. Point is if they actually played their game they would see this and a lot more.

Point is why should you have to post up having to get a huge jump on the guy to get the kill. Mobility with autos is also pretty much limited to the ground strafing. Sure they kill but why do they make the HC superior in almost every way. We shouldn't have to make them miss or get a huge jump. There is no balance. If they played they would see this.

so you complain that the way you use a gun shouldn't be different? if you use an AR it won't act like a HC so don't try to use it as one. Every shooter has this problem where players really don't understand the weapons available or how to use them best. be it range, strategy etc.. you wouldn't try to shoot a shotgun 50 ft becuse you are out of range, you won't try to use a sniper (most cases) at 1 ft. how you play and what weapon you choose are equally important to each other.

They are both in the same range bracket. It's broken HCs are far better than autos. It's simple. Autos have one move strafing. Man there is no argument at all.
