Someone explain to me how this is somehow better than the ACA we have...
The current Republican bill to repeal and replace major parts of Obamacare will lead to 23 million fewer Americans with health insurance coverage by 2026 if it becomes law, the Congressional Budget Office projected Wednesday.
That is only 1 million fewer uninsured people than had been projected for an earlier version of the GOP bill.
Most of the coverage losses still would occur next year, when 14 million more people would become uninsured than would otherwise be the case if Obamacare remained in place, CBO said in its new report.
By 2026, there would be 51 million uninsured Americans under the GOP bill, known as the American Health Care Act, compared to the 28 million people projected to be uninsured if Obamacare stays the law of the land.
Most of the reductions in coverage would come from people on Medicaid, the joint federal-state program that covers primarily the poor, as well as from people enrolled in non-job-based private individual health plans.
The controversial bill also would "tend to increase" average premium prices of individual health plans by about 20 percent relative to the current law in 2018, according to the analysis, but just 5 percent higher than Obamacare prices would be expected to be in 2019.
However, starting in 2020, premiums in different states would be affected in different ways by the bill because of an amendment that would allow states to obtain waivers from current Obamacare rules mandating the design of health plans, and barring insurers from charging less-healthy people higher prices, CBO said.
I thought Trump was going to make healthcare better, not worse?

We can't afford healthcare for 330 million Americans plus another 40 million illegals which we shouldn't even be caring for. The only country more populous than us is China and do you see them with free healthcare? Exactly. Because it can't be done. Sorry but as long as money rules the world, people have to die so more important people (those who contribute to society) can live. It's just the way it works unfortunately.

Less people on the goverenment tit and more choice in the market is better.

"but private corporations can fix this you dumb liberal that's not an argument crowder said government sucks and hes god" -Ghost

23 fewer people are forced to have healthcare? Good.

1 RespuestaStatist solution to a statist problem. You're only discussing the symptoms of a very serious disease. Actually, it's less of a disease and more of a rampant drug addiction.

3 RespuestasThis video from American Dad is a short representation of why most people are cool with this. And remember Seth MacFarlane is liberal. These are the kinds of people who put strain on the medical system. Meanwhile people are struggling to get epipens. But at this point I say let's go universal because the entitlement is already established and we can't take it away now. Hopefully we get Switzerland model and not UK's.

I have no health care and I still can't afford aca ironically....so I don't really give a shit about 23 million people who won't have it. Should we all have medical insurance in some way? Yes. Should I get fined when I can't afford it? -blam!-. No.

16 RespuestasSome people think that healthcare is a basic human right......they are usually wrong. I pay for what I get and work hard for it. Anytime that you think that having the government intervene in anything and making it better is usually wrong.

1 RespuestaWhat are the income of these people and are premiums going up at a higher or lower rate than it was on the former plan?

I don't like either of these plans, but whatever. Our government has never handled this situation properly.

What if the healthcare they're forced to have is complete shit anyway? Besides it's about to implode anyway. Better to get rid of it before it does and have people suffer the market crash that would likely happen as a result of it.

4 RespuestasI wish we could focus on improving health care. Everyone on both sides keeps trying to reform health insurance and pretending it's the same thing.

7 RespuestasI've said it once, I'll say it again. No one wants this, there are two types of people right now, those for the aca, and those for full repeal. This satisfies neither.

5 RespuestasWow the government gave me a choice, I can either live in debt or just choose to die. The government only care about you until you are born (anti-abortion) but once you are born they tell you -blam!- you you are on your own.

1 RespuestaThey are intentionally destroying everything on purpose at this point. They cant be that stupid Perhaps they want to trash everything to privatization looks more appealing to their voters... Then we move back to company towns in no time. Better train your kids to clean chimneys. Or heaters in these days (implying they got enough schooling before it went to shit)
