It's not stupid. It makes perfect sense actually.
Look, this is obviously not really going anywhere so let's just agree to disagree

Editado por FL0W: 5/24/2017 8:22:53 PMNo, it doesn't make ANy sense to force a "competitive" 4v4 upon everyone when only 0,1% of the playerbase plays this game competitively. A single competitive mode like Trials is more than enough for this group. Also: If they want this game to be competitive, they need to give us DS, 60FPS, 60/60Hz tickrate and a healthy Netcode...not stupid 4v4's with the same shitty backwards environment. But you're right...this leads to nowhere.
-
DS agreed, 60 fps is not required for competitive, agree on the frame tick rate. You've even stated the fact that, more likely than not, Activision doesn't want to give them the resources for dedicated servers. Halo has always been a competitive style PvP, with added casual playlists. It would make sense if Bungie tries to go back to those kinds of PvP roots. It's what they are/was good at. Just cuz a game type is built around a couple competitive style does not mean it can't be played casually. Will it mean games are more sweaty than they are now? No, cuz as is, every game is full of people running the fastest ttk in the game. Even in casual game types, people will play competitive.

Editado por FL0W: 5/24/2017 9:39:33 PMYou still don't get the point man...4v4s won't make the lag as obvious as 6v6s as long as the playerbase is healthy...fact. After that the lag will be present but no one at Activision will care anymore since they already made their money. No one asked for that change, not even the "competitive" players. Bye now...please. Oh and by the way: The Bungie we have right now has literally nothing to do with the creators of Halo. Those guys cannot even balnce a single weapon without destroying a whole weapon class. They don't have a clue about competitive gaming at all.
-
I get the point and I'm saying your wrong in that aspect. Lag is still going to be a blatant issue. That's a fact. The crew working on D1 was an incompetent skeleton crew. Fact. They aren't the ones working on D2. Fact. I am well aware that it's not the same Bungie. I'm not a dumbass, contrary to what you believe.
-
I cannot be wrong about this point because it's a logical outcome of reducing the player count in a lobby. The more players there are in a P2P match, the more problems will be present. Simple network 1x1. And according to the recent D2 PvP gameplay footage they still don't know what they're doing.
-
What makes you say they still don't know what they are doing? Again, reducing player count will not reduce lag. That's the biggest issue with p2p
-
Editado por FL0W: 5/25/2017 5:18:05 AMGoing to more CBMM and 4v4 only WILL reduce lag, especially with a bigger playerbase. This cannot be denied. Just look at the gameplays. Primaries kill even slower than in D1, a powerweapon every 30s, completely OP supers that wipe an entire team on the whole map. It'll all come down to camp certain spots and then rush with abilities, nades, supers and powerweapons...primaries are basically just clean up tools or for situations where you manage to sneak around the enemy team. It just looks even slower and more boring than the meta right now. I lost all hopes that Destiny will ever be as much fun as in y1 again.
-
I honestly think we watched different games then, cuz the D2 I saw, supers shut down easily, abilities no longer kill you in one hit, two primary slots,HEAVY 30 seconds in. With what? Two spawns. If you hate what you saw so much, just don't but the game. CBMM will reduce lag, yes. In combination with P2P, were still going to experience lag. It's undeniable. I'll say this again, since our opinions differ so. Agree. To. Disagree
-
I already stated that lag will still be present no matter what in my initial post. 🙄
-
Hence why that's not the sole reason for 4v4
-
It is. There's no other point for this change. Literally no one asked for it. But we do asked for less lag and faster matchmaking times. Since they won't invest in any decent solution, they found the perfect workaround for those problems: Reduce SBMM and lower the player count in a lobby. Simple. I'm done with this argument now...as you've said: This leads to nothing because you disagree. Bye now. Muted.
-
Well that's one way to end it. Even though I've tried to end this argument several times. Glad you muted me. Means I don't have to deal with your dense logic as much (sadly will still likely find you in comments) Why are so many people incapable of having a civil, constructive argument.
