GJ Bungie - try actaully playing the game ..
Sad Bungie made so many guns in pvp irrelevant, Ice Breaker, Wormwood's that have as much range as a Last Word and sticky's are everywhere . So many sniper rifles and shotguns just sitting in the vault as they are irrelevant due to the special ammo change. I don't think they actually play the game and are incredibly out of touch with true players.
Anyone remember Thorn, vex, fate bringer etc.. in pvp. The guns that made the game super fun are irrelevant now. Snipers now hard-scope special ammo boxes and with 0 special for snipers on re-spawn we are forced to use Icebreaker or NLB.
Remember, Bungie wrecked Halo and their bonehead decisions have made Destiny a 3 gun game due to their bad decisions. Just another good game that executive idiots screwed up.

Why would I spend hours grinding for guns that I'll never have ammo to use in PvP? Why would I use a shotgun or sniper over a rocket launcher? They are just clueless and have destroyed a game that was really fun. We don't want Halo, we want Destiny. I would have to disagree on your Halo point. 343 is responsible for wrecking Halo, not Bungie.

I came back after my longest break from destiny to see all the new changes and while I didn't try them all as soon as I saw this change in pvp I decided to quit again, because I felt it killed the game.

21 RespuestasI'll just leave this here for you. Year 1 was terrible lol. What we have now is much better then any of the metas. All the weapons are viable. Heck went flawless 3x this weekend and helped people out using a lord high fixer with range finder explosive rounds and litc along with a fusion rifle.

In a sniper vs sniper scenario, I'm going to win. Every. Single. Time. And it's not just my ldr. I love using a variety of special weapons(shotguns, fusions, snipers, and sidearms). I do just fine(not saying I don't hate the new special ammo economy. Because I do hate it). Just don't put yourself in a suicide scenario where you lose special, and if you do, just have fun for 60 seconds with a primary till it respawns. Edit: I made some grammar corrections.

3 RespuestasSo true. I really only play skirmish now, but its like 90% of the opponents are using icebreaker. I finally acquired one after around 20 nightfall runs and that thing is broken af, damn near everyone is using it like a scout and just double body with it. Its either that or getting melted in milliseconds by wormwood. What a joke. I still have fun somehow but its not as fun as it used to be.

Imagine we still had special ammo and at the D2 reveal we found out that snipers and shotguns are now heavies. People woukd have lost their shit and hated D2 immediately. But since we have no special now and are kinda used to it, the D2 change is not such a big deal.

To drastic of a change this late in the game in my opinion. On the verge of a new expansion pack also to top it all off. I'm guessing whoever made the decision got promoted to get them out of their position or is someone's relative that is in charge. There is no way this should be the final product/crucible. I think the pve crowd should be happy with the repetitive new patrols, strikes and raids of D2 but I feel pvp's overall are currently discouraged by the state of the crucible and the future here. Of course some like it but they killed their PVP base with the last update to crucible. [spoiler]the expansion is D2[/spoiler]

1 RespuestaAnd it is the complainers about snipers and shotguns who caused the special ammo situation forcing players to use sidearms and Icebreaker. So the moral of the story is take the problem up with the complaining players who are not happy about any weapon meta in the crucible.

2 RespuestasSidearms suck sure but oh well, I use a regular sniper all the time and find zero trouble getting special for it, and if I'm in a situation where I don't have special I have this magical thing that destiny gave me called a primary weapon. It literally always has ammo and has a pretty fast time to kill. I'll bet you have a couple as well
