So last night I decided to run a VoG raid and needed a group cause none of my friends were online.
I checked LFG and my goodness...... to say it was a Sh*tshow is an understatement. There were so many posts about "Need sweaty team to complete raid" "Must have Sleeper and be 400 light" "Not accepting people who are 399" so on and so forth. After searching through the endless maze of hell I found a post which looked like an actual enjoyable group to be with. The post read as follows, "Looking for chill group of adults who wanna get the raid done." Normally I don't message people who have any requirements but I was desperate. After joining the party I was actually very pleased with the group, they were funny and knew what to do..... till we hit Templar.
I forgot how the subject came up but they discovered how old I am and then started to blame things on me because of my age. Now sure I'm no damn 40 year old dad, but I'm eighteen years old and I just finished my first year at college, I kinda consider myself an adult. One of the guys, a stubborn A-Hole, wouldn't stop yelling at me for where I placed a bubble to stop teleport. I would place it on right side up high on the cliff, this pissed him the F**k off and every time he died he would yell at me for not placing it lower to protect him from the Minotaurs. He then proceeded to make the comment, "Damn teenagers don't know how to listen." TO which another "adult" agreed. Me getting pissed off decided not to place the bubble and just let the A-Hole give it a shot. Low and behold he sucks at this game and ended up dying with the bubble lower down. I made the sarcastic remark, "Looks like you die no matter where the bubble is placed." He got pissed and ended up muting me, but he still complained. We were on our 5th try and the A-Hole, to nobody's surprise, died first. I tell the others to just keep going. We lose another guy but finish the job and complete Templar, WITH ME PLACING MY BUBBLE UP HIGH.
We get to gorgons and I always hold back and wait for everyone else to get through so I can go alone through the maze (I find it easier that way). The A-Hole is an idiot and ends up getting spotted by the first Gorgon, to which me blames me for getting seen. He tells me to go to orbit if I can't get through but I declined the offer. The idiot gets seen again and is about to yell at me but I decided to stay really far back so it wasn't really possible for me to make an error. We eventually get to Gatekeeper and have a ton of issues. None of the other players have ever run relic, and they wont listen to any correction I give them because I'm not an "adult." When I tell a guy he needs to hold left bumper to cleanse himself he completely ignores me and ends up dying. TO which he yells at me for not explaining it to him earlier. I eventually leave the group because I was so frustrated.
But I still wanted to finish challenge Atheon. I saw another post for Atheon that said it needed two more people and didn't have any requirements. I hopped in the party and discovered it was filled with a bunch of younger kids and one Australian man. We beat Atheon in less than 3 minutes and then did the raid again on our second characters. They were a blast to play with and were open to correction if they made a mistake. Now my point to this post is to say that sure I'm technically not an "adult," but I'm a damn good raider who loves to play this game with people who are fun to play with.

EDIT: I wanted to clarify to all the people commenting that I did not post this because I was merely "salty" about it. I wanted to post this because I find that it is often an issue among the raid groups I join. The younger individuals are blamed for mistakes more often than older people. So this post isn't here to complain but it's here to just state an issue (which is what the forums are for).
I also want to clarify that I'm not saying all adults need to go -blam!- themselves. I clearly put in the title "chill adults". I was referring to the assholes who think that kids suck and that they are better because of their age.

6 RespuestasChill is a code word on LFG for bad teams in my experience. I go with high requirement teams of adults only. If host doesn't meet the ones he sets I leave. If there is an asshat like you described I will put up with it for only so long. More often than not kids are bossy but not so good players and have shit gear. Or never shut up. But if they're not like that they can raid with me anytime.
