Back before the beta, while i was watching all of the Destiny promotions and adverts, i noticed the hunter using a hand cannon. Then when the beta dropped, as i was picking a class for my first character, i figured that certain weapons would be tied to your specific class (à la battlefield). I picked a hunter as i figured hunters would use hand cannons, as per the first advert, and i guessed snipers would be their special.
Clearly i was wrong, however, looking at how the endless procession of metas and 'balancing' has affected and over-complicated the game, might it be worth bringing this in for Destiny 2? I understand many people may not appreciate this suggestion, however, i feel that bringing this in would be beneficial.
I propose a breakdown like this:
Hunters: hand cannons and snipers
Titans: autos and shotguns
Warlocks: pulses and fusions
Weapons used by all three classes: scouts, sidearms , rocket launchers and machine guns (heavies being limited to 2 types makes it harder to tie to a class) and possibly exotics.
This would encourage players to play all three classes if they wanted to use specific weapon-types, whilst simultaneously reducing the overuse of 'op' weapons. If most weapons are limited to one class then players are less likely to run into full teams of 6 all with the same 'op' loadout.
I don't think this will solve all of destiny's perceived pvp issues (personally i would prefer a balanced loadout similar to halo with map-specific power weapons), but i do think it would be a step-forward.
If you could make any fundamental changes in the move from D1 to D2, what would they be?

I think it should be . Hunters =all weapons. Titans /warlocks =nades and melee. Because that is what crucible now is. You always see the nade first before you see the warlock or titan.

Why would they deliberately downgrade the game like that? Horrible idea.

3 RespuestasEditado por FenRaft: 5/9/2017 10:12:35 AMI hear what you're saying but his is a mindnumbingly daft idea for (at least) three reasons. 1- you run the risk of everybody running the same class in PvP. Making a meta-ey environment even meta-er. 2- this will mean people would have to run raids with a very limited loadout and weapons not suitable for that raid 3- some people only main one class and some people like to collect stuff, you'd be taking 2/3 of the stuff away from them. thus reducing interest in the game. thus reducing the game's lifespan. In essence you've come up with an idea that would piss off PvP players, PvE players and the game's devs. You're doing well.

5 RespuestasMehhh. I disagree with this. I use a variety of weapons as is, depending on my mood, as well as class variety. I would not like to be categorized into specific weapons solely based on the class I wish to play on a particular day.

9 RespuestasNope, I would not like this at all.

1 RespuestaI don't like change. Hence why I've run last word and a shotty since I got the last work like 2 years ago. Fun thought though. I don't care about the weapons, the supers is my concern

1 RespuestaEditado por RogueAgent-11: 5/9/2017 6:28:10 AMNo. Be even less balanced. Classes are already bullshit now.

3 RespuestasNope.
Is op high or joking¿
3 RespuestasDon't like this idea. I don't want to be limited in my weapon choices. I wouldn't mind one or two class specific weapons like the humanity exotics in Tue current game, but locking out weapon types based on class choice would be frustrating

1 Respuesta*Titan picks up a Hand Cannon* "WHAT THIS PUNY HUNTER GUN?! TITAN SMASH PUNY TOY!" ^^^ What I imagine Titans would sound like IRL ^^^

1 RespuestaHow about no weapons or abilities for anyone. Then we achieve true balance.

11 RespuestasNo, this is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen on these forums and that should tell you something.

1 RespuestaNah, cause a gun is a gun, and in real life you can pick up any weapon at a shop and use it soooo

2 RespuestasGive Warlock Hand canons and Hunter Scouts

1 RespuestaMaybe only some exotics, since it will hurt weapon diversity (which is already pretty low) although, if they were to introduce like 4-5 new gun types per category, then maybe.
-
9 RespuestasNo. I don't mind particular weapons to be locked behind a class but no I don't want to be forced to be a certain class in order to use the entire weapon type.

8 RespuestasOk, so just run this with me for a second. Imagine the Thorn could still two shot. Now imagine if only Hunters could use the Thorn. The game runs on imbalance as it is, restricting certain weapon types to classes would only make that worse.
