Should certain weapon-types be class specific in D2?

Back before the beta, while i was watching all of the Destiny promotions and adverts, i noticed the hunter using a hand cannon. Then when the beta dropped, as i was picking a class for my first character, i figured that certain weapons would be tied to your specific class (à la battlefield). I picked a hunter as i figured hunters would use hand cannons, as per the first advert, and i guessed snipers would be their special. Clearly i was wrong, however, looking at how the endless procession of metas and 'balancing' has affected and over-complicated the game, might it be worth bringing this in for Destiny 2? I understand many people may not appreciate this suggestion, however, i feel that bringing this in would be beneficial. I propose a breakdown like this: Hunters: hand cannons and snipers Titans: autos and shotguns Warlocks: pulses and fusions Weapons used by all three classes: scouts, sidearms , rocket launchers and machine guns (heavies being limited to 2 types makes it harder to tie to a class) and possibly exotics. This would encourage players to play all three classes if they wanted to use specific weapon-types, whilst simultaneously reducing the overuse of 'op' weapons. If most weapons are limited to one class then players are less likely to run into full teams of 6 all with the same 'op' loadout. I don't think this will solve all of destiny's perceived pvp issues (personally i would prefer a balanced loadout similar to halo with map-specific power weapons), but i do think it would be a step-forward. If you could make any fundamental changes in the move from D1 to D2, what would they be?
