(Video isn't mine, but illustrates the issue well)
I had about four wins in a row yesterday, and since then I've been put in the worst possible matchups. Normally it takes about four or five losses to clear and the system to be 'happy' again that balance has been restored. But because I had the misfortune of actually winning a couple of these disaster matchups, the game has now been putting me into matches that are near done and if course where I start on the losing team.
I've been added to games in progress before but never like the one earlier which had the enemy on 19105 points out of 20000 when I landed.
Please just do away with this nonsense 'skill' matchmaking, as you're not managing it well. Stop factoring in other factors as a 'counts as' for skill levels just to save on time spent in queues.
***EDIT****
To the people who think it's all conspiracy, check out this guy's video, quotes from Bungie saying that they do exactly that.

4 RespuestasDoes your win / loss ratio really matter that much to you? If anything, id pay more attention to kd as it gives a better idea on a persons skill level.. As long as your doing your best, it shouldnt matter if you win or lose.
-
18 RespuestasNo such thing as "forced" losses. Time to take your tin foil hat off. Tome to start blaming your own lack of skill
-
4 RespuestasNothing about the matchmaking forces you to win or lose matches. That's foil hat-wearing conspiracy craziness at its most ridiculous.
-
1 RespuestaDude, you can't win every match and blaming something you can't control on everyone else (or Bungie specifically) won't change anything. I've been there, brother. All you can do is keep your head above the water.

4 RespuestasThis whole "forced win/loss" conspiracy is the dumbest, most willful misunderstanding of matchmaking to ever come out of this backwards ass forum. The matchmaking algorithm is not trying to make you win and lose games. It is trying to find people around your skill level. If you are always playing people at or around your skill level, on a long enough timeline, your win/loss ratio should be approximately 1:1. Do you understand the difference? Would it help if I finger painted it? If your argument is, "I think Bungie should disable join in progress," just say that. But understand, join in progress exists to give a team that's down a man a fighting chance, because without join in progress, as soon as one of your teammates rage quits/zoo errors out/has an unexpected emergency, now it's 6 v 5 or 3 v 2, and barring a miracle, you're now on a one way trip to the L Zone anyway. It's only a question of, how long will it take for this match to be over and how bad will my k/d be when we get there?

11 RespuestasMy good man, I feel your pain. Many guardians, including me, have gone down this path. However, I am here to tell you there is hope. There is a land called Halo 5 and a mode named Arena where none of this bullshit happens, ever. No join in progress EVER, no p2p potato game servers and your win/loss ratio actually relates to a real, in-game, ranking system. Halo 5 has dedicated servers and something called "matchmaking preference" where you can decide how the game finds you opponents. Expanded - Find the first available match, with less focus on skill and connection Balanced - Find a match based on reasonable skill and connection quality Focused - Find a match based on the best connection and similar skill I will also mention that there are no bullshit scenarios or gimmicks like 100% AA stickies, ability spams and wombo combos in Halo 5. There is and never was this thing called meta in that game. It takes actual gun skill to win a fight and every gun has a place and reason. So punch the Speaker in the face, throw your ghost in the trash and join the Spartans. Try it for a week and I promise, you will never look at Destiny pvp the same way. It becomes an actual joke.

6 RespuestasIf you care for winning in this game, DO NOT try to solo it. A Fireteam is the only answer.
-
It takes me 6 to 8 losses for it to be happy

My favorite is loading into a Defeat screen.

I like CoD: Black Ops 3 system where you do not get counted with a loss for joining a game already in progress

Damage referee is working as intended. You can feel the burn as they bend u over to help the snowflakes feel important

"Sorry, you're too good, here... Have some free losses." Working as intended.

Skill based match making and making everyone have a 50% w/l ratio working as intended.

7 RespuestasOnly game I've ever played that punishes success. Bungie has become a cancer on the industry.

1 RespuestaI never worried about winning or losing matches, I just had fun while I was playing. If you aren't having fun anymore, go play something else.

Editado por Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 5/8/2017 1:54:11 AMAuto lose games are BS, back in the day I would just use those auto lose games to pad my K/D, like I knew we was gonna lose but I might as well kill them and not give them the satisfaction of my deaths to do so. Nowadays auto-lose games are so severely one sided thanks to meta rotational map play, having no death games in a auto-lose game is extremely extremely unlikely. Like a 10 percent to 1 percent reduction. A major factor to this, that is overlooked in discussions like this is spawn placement, map design and killtime and a major reason why this meta lacks so much compared to the past. The front mid back rotation would change on average like every half minute or more on the old meta, the current one, you're luckly if it gets past 10 seconds. That there is a major problem for consistant play but it's done to artificially speed up the gameplay, by forcing encounters due to spawn proximity. It doesn't work properly from a strategic PoV but its more in line with a custom game kind of bonanza play. Weaker PvP games are riddled with this style of play because shit PvP design teams have no clue how to do it in a structured way. Halo 2 took a step away from this a lot, it's style of play in it's common multiplayer style mixing it up between ADHD and Strat, Halo 3 deffo pushed spacing to new heights and this attracted a lot of competitive plays, Reach kinda re-introduced arcade playstyle within mainstream play, but still heavily limited it until 343i got on board. Destiny Y1 and Y2 were at its core growing to it, but Y2 onwards someone down the line just blew open the safety and we now have what we have, an unhinged experience. Bungie actually found a way brute forced a way for people to have a miserable experience because of this. If you're aware back then at least you could come out of it with semi decent stats, now it's just a one-sided bloodbath. I mean it was possible before for the other team to steamroll yours, but you were always an independent variable to that system, a wildcard. Now we're all just cannon fodder depending on pre-team placement, some games are over within the moment you get fully matched. That there sucks the biggest of balls.
-
3 RespuestasDo you realize that if people continue to play and pre order D2 then Bungie has zero incentive to change? Good luck with that.

48 RespuestasEditado por Send It: 5/7/2017 8:22:35 PMI'll explain crucible matchmaking to you like politics, So in year 1 matchmaking was essentially a capitalist system, the good players were allowed to get better because they were fairly matched instead of being forced into unfair unbalanced games, just like how say in the western capitalist dominated system, with hard work and some talent you can be an entrepreneur, start a business, make a buck, and rise to the top. So just like in America where something ridiculous like 80% of the wealth belongs to the 1% while everyone else is either poor as shit or an average middle-class citizen, the top 1% of destiny players absolutely dominated the majority of players because they were allowed to be, and fairly so, depending on your point of view. But then at the start of year 2, SBMM or 'communism' was introduced. Matches were lopsided almost rigged, you would seem to do amazing one game and get pooped on the next, something was clearly wrong. Bungie was trying to force your win/loss and kill/death rations to a 1:1 so everyone was equal (they even admitted so at one point) through mind numbingly bad matchmaking experiences, forcing you against laggy players, tryhards EVERY SINGLE GAME, in progress losses and other bullshit. Communism AKA- Forced equality. That's what year 2 and onwards matchmaking was, trying to hold back good players from being REALLY good players by forcing a 1.5 kd to a 1.0 kd, a 2.0 kd to a 1.5 kd and a 0.5 kd to a 1.0 kd. TL;DR CBMM=murica SBMM=china EDIT: can all you self proclaimed political scientists just chill, it's a rough analogy and nothing more than a joke

"we're breaking up those teams to find a better match" Instantly thrown into games already in progress right afterwards = Options>Settings>Change Character to force yourself out of it before it throws you in.

6 RespuestasThis is one of the more frustrating things, and Bungie has admitted the game trys to keep you at 50% w/l. 6000 point swing in points, not sure if the game kicks and takes points, but the shit at the end never adds up. Other team has 64 kills, your team has 45 deaths, wtf?

8 RespuestasPlayed 8 or 9 matches yesterday. Got dropped into a few games down by 14K. And twice never landed so no rewards or rep even though I got a loss and wasted my time.... Another thing: Each time I'd match a non-full team they'd be on the other side. Now one day of it would make me think coincidence, but looking back since TTK I am very rarely put with a 4 man or above team on my side, I'm fact I'd even say it's only happened 3 - 4 times. This can't be unintentional. On top of that the teammates I get put with half the time seem like they play with one hand. I wonder if the game puts solo above average players with the bottom tiers and matches them with decent teams which they think is somehow fair
-
Odds are you if you're put into a game in progress you're going to be put on a losing team because winners don't quit.

Play Rumble. If you're confident enough in your own skills and it's your team letting you down, then Rumble should fix all your problems.
