So I'm going to do a social experiment on LFG raiders this week.....
On LFG, you see a lot of people claiming they are experienced and know the raids like the back of their hand. What I'm going to do is test whether the community is helpful and kind or elitist and I'll post the results later on in the week.
I will join their raids, pretending to be a newer player who has never done said raid and asking if anyone can explain to me what to do (obviously I'll take off my emblem and all my gear 😂)
I will then measure their responses throughout the entire raid. My results will be based on:
1) Initial Reaction
2) Expanded reaction across the raid
3) Were there quitters or not?
4) General acceptance and helpfulness
Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?
I will not be wiping on purpose- if we do wipe at all I will see how often the blame is put on the 'newbie'
And yes I will be focusing on completing it as my #1 priority
To get a better idea of how people respond I'll post the results in 2-3 weeks (bigger sample size than just 1 week)
I'll be joining unspecified groups when it comes to experience

Do one better just go into a Raid with a No Land Beyond, a 170 light Preadyths Revenge, and a random heavy machine gun. I used to do it all the time back in Kings Fall days I'd join groups and just troll them pretending I've never done it before I even had a full set of Blue gear around 300 light for when o wanted to troll people on Normal runs. Then we would wipe a couple times because people suck then I'd take over and put on all the 335 gear with the spindle or sleeper and be like yeah so let's get this done

1 RespuestaI never remember who said they were a noob before the raid starts. It's usually after we start raiding and someone repeatedly causes a wipe that I start to take notice. So I'm willing to bet if you don't cause wipes people won't even react.

1 RespuestaI lower my light to 350-360. When they see it they'll start blaming me for all their wipes caused by others dying. It's not the light level, it's the guardian. You can be 400 and be shit while the lowest level plays perfectly and doesn't cause wipes. I've been kicked out a few times for doing that. LFG is so trash right now.
