Personally I think most of it is pretty good but in my opinion it gets worse as destiny gets older.
Vault of glass
The armour matches a vex theme with the armour looking robotic with a bronze colour scheme and red glowing parts matching the vex
Crotas end
it's the same with vog. The armour design is similar to Hive with a boney rough appearance on armour and fabrics looking like rags.
Prison of elders
I wouldn't say it resembles any fallen enemies but it has a scrappy appearance like a lot of fallen items as if it was made from rusted scraps.
Kings fall
The armour I would say is more Hive related with similar textures like rough parts and ragged fabrics. I was hoping for a more taken look to it but some of the armour does resemble some raid bosses like the titan armour matching the warpriest. The armour is good but I was hoping the armour to resemble taken.
Wrath of the machine
this is my least favourite armour. It doesn't resemble SIVA and I would say it looks like it's based on the Warmind. The weapons are a good example of how it should have looked with already existing armour decorated in SIVA with it possibly being the year 2 vanguard or poe gear with SIVA cubes, wires and other pieces covering the armour.
WotM was the best implementation of gear acquisition and progression. It dropped frequently, had a token system built into the raid for extra drops, and could be re-rolled with static stat %'s. In fact, the gear set is so much less stressful to get a decent roll on that I refuse to bother with the other raids since the armor almost never drops, has no token system, and armor can't be re-rolled. Hopefully, all future raids will follow the design of WotM in terms of gear re-rolling and tokens. It gives the raid a purpose to be ran again (for those who chase min/max). It also gives those you can't play 24/7 a reasonable chance at getting a full workable set of raid gear.
