They made more options when they nerfed special ammo.
PROOF?
Not everyone in the lobby has
clever dragon/matador equipped.
So people use more diversity now.

-
False. Previous meta was clever dragon/matador ONLY.
-
You're right- everyone has IB or sidearm equipped. You're blind if you think there is more diversity in the crucible for special weapons. We went from all snipers being viable, all mid-high impact shotties being viable, all fusions being viable, and all sidearms being viable to NLB, IB, and sidearms. Lol sounds like diversity sky rocketed.
-
Not true. We went from clever dragon/matador ONLY. To ALL primary's . And ALL secondary's. Only tryhard lobbies are icebreaker /sidearm All my lobbies this week i have seen diversity. From kvostov to NTTE. From plan C to pocket infinity.
-
Only tryhard lobbies are icebreaker /sidearm
Just like only tryhard lobbies used Matador and Clever Dragon. There's even less diversity than before. Only specials that are usable are IB and sidearms. Only primaries that are somewhat decent are Eyasluna and Palindrome.
-
Meanwhile i use fusion rifles.
-
Try using them when they're not available.
-
They are always available.
-
Except they're not. Play any team with a semblance of map control and you're going to be without that fusion ammo for most of the match. Hell, play Trials and try to use a fusion at all. Big pain in the ass.
-
While I will agree primary diversity is better, most lobbies that are made up of better than average players have no special diversity. Like i said, the only viable special weapons against decent players are IB and sidearms. Trust me when I say this because I have always used legendary snipers before, but can honestly no longer use them viably. If you were good with a certain special weapon before the patch- you could use it and succeed. Now you literally cannot because you don't have ammo, it's that simple.
-
I never sniped before special nerf. Or used a fusion rifle. But i am now pretty good with them because not everyone runs around with matador
-
So sounds like YOU had a problem countering matador and werent actually good enough with snipers or fusions to compete with them. But now that everyone is running around with underpowered primaries you can use them. Unfortunately for most above average players it is simply easier and more reliable to use a sidearm or an IB because the players we are going up against are good enough to counter special weapons unless they are used in their intended role. In which case you better have ammo for that special weapon when that time comes.
-
I outshoot IB and sidearms all the time. Not hard at all
-
I never said it was difficult to counter snipers (IB in particular) especially if you are a good player. That is why good players are forced into using IB, because a lot of times you will die trying to snipe other players who know how to counter a sniper. If you dont have IB and you die then you wont have special anymore. Sidearms on the other hand are more difficult to counter because they are more deadly than primaries from anywhere within midrange. If youre usin an auto or handcannon you just gotta hope the sidearm user misses his shots if you wanna win that engagement.
-
Or bones of aeo around them in close proximity so they waste their clip. Then shoot them . That how i do it. And then i tbag them for using a sidearm and not making their own decision on weapons.
-
I mean they have a faster ttk than all primaries... It's an obvious choice haha.
-
Its still a scrub choice. For the people dont have any weapon skills.😁
-
Oh yea i agree it's definitely a spammy no skill weapon. I just dont blame people for using them- it truly is META. The most effective tool available.

He was talking about better than average lobbies
