Edit: I see a lot of people saying they want all new gear but let's think about that for a sec. this was supposed to be a ten year game. Also xur sells a majority of the exotics so even though our gear is destroyed by the cabal the gear is still out there unless the nine are also attacked. I'm not implying they will bring anything back this is more of a if something came back what would you want.

I just want exotics to actually be good. Either remove the limitations on equipping them, or actually make them the best. It's all laughable in the game's current state, except a handful of weapons and less than a handful of armor.

Primary - MIDA Multitool Probably my favorite exotic weapon Special - Ice Breaker I absolutely love the sound of these firing Heavy - Gjallarhorn It's the iconic exotic, though I could see bringing one or all of the exotic swords forward for story line purposes. Warlock - Transversive Steps I love these boots, they work for all subclasses. Titan - Armamentarium Good all around exotic that works well with each subclass (though Helm of Saint-14 is better, it only gels with the Defender subclass). Hunter - Fr0st-ee5 Another well rounded armour piece that works with all subclasses.

They need to sell the Sunbreakers the first time Xur (or whoever the Xur equivalent is) appears just to see what people do. And then make the Sunbreakers completely OP just to mess with everyone.

None, because we get the same problem that ocurred over the time span of ttk and RoI. If you bring back some, eventually you gotta bring em all back. I want to see where bungie is taking exotics in D2. The old ones have much different design philosophies than the new ones. I have faith in them after seeing zhalo, telesto, sleeper, the swords, and outbreak prime. Hopefully we see more exotics like these, with careful thought and consideration put into them. Although there are the exotics where you wonder what they were thinking. Zen meteor, hereafter, astrocyte verse, and alchemists raiment to name a few. Those dont seem to fit in anywhere. I mean snipers that are meant to take out trash mobs cmon.
