this would be cool.
i must say the amount of pve players who go play a game of crucible or two using raid weapons and then immediately come to the forum and complain when they die to something is truly mind blowing.

Editado por xcutioner_0: 4/27/2017 8:37:40 PMI don't complain. Yeah I'm irritated by the sheer sweatiness in some matches, but I don't make a fool of myself by crying all over the forums. And frankly, most of the complaints have come from pvp only players from what I've seen.
I've had it with nerf Fusion grenades tbh. It's the only thing Sunsingers have left damn it.
Editado por Talk2MeToner: 4/27/2017 11:29:18 AMThat's completely wrong as true PVE players don't give af about pvp and also hats pvp whiners for getting PVE shit nerfed
-
I'm genuinely curious. What pve weapons got nerfed because of pvp? The only one I can think of is ice breaker and it was well deserved because it made all pve content easy mode. Plus people kept demanding you have one or you wouldn't be allowed in the raid.
-
Citation needed. I may have seen a gjally required on some posts, but not IB.
-
It's not specific weapons, it's across the board nerfs. If they nerf hand cannons because of PvP whiners, then those changes are carrying over to PvE as well because they want the weapons to feel "consistent" no matter what you're playing. Hand cannons are a shell of what they once were. Sometimes they do crack down on specific weapons, like Thorn. People hated the DOT effect it had in PvP, so PvE players who liked to use the gun suffered.
-
Yah but did those across the board nerfs really matter? You can pretty much do what you've been doing since year one now just at a optimal range.
-
Yes they do really matter. It diminishes the fun factor and makes the weapons less suitable for situations they were previously suited for. Handcannons now for example are a complete contrast of what they were in year 1. Year 1 I would never miss a headshot, and I could do it from fairly long ranges without much damage fall off. It was great in PvE and made me feel like my guardian was powerful. Enter year 2/3 and my handcannons feel like I can't be more than 10 feet from the enemy if I want to get a headshot or shoot without too much damage fall off. This is true for other weapons as well. It doesn't feel like the same game because of nerfs, it feels less fun and less rewarding as a result. And for a game, that is a big deal.
-
OK I understand.
-
I can tell you're a PvP player from your stats, so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt (btw nice stats for PvP lol). But yes, it affects PvE every time across the board. Range, damage, stability, ADS time...there is a lot sir.
-
Alright. I'm just saying if we can still 1 shot a thrall then I think we're fine. Lol.
-
I sure hope we can one shot one of the easiest enemies in the game. Still, that's not the point. They are two feet (idk really, but very close) in front of you. Which is basically hand cannon range now haha
-
Do you mean a specific type of weapon? Or a gun type? Because hand cannons, auto rifles, snipers, shot guns, and even how much heavy ammo capacity you can hold all were nerfed because of PvP. That is an extremely short list btw, just named some at the top of my head.
-
We're also talking abilities. Sunsinger for instance was nerfed to shit with flame shield only being a chance and the grenade throw rate being so slow in radiance now that voidwalker can damn near throw faster not in radiance by using the right build... that was all due to the pvp crowd and trials idiots.
-
Abilities are different. I completely agree with you there
-
It just takes away weapons from PvE whenever a gun gets nerfed because of PvP. Thorn used to be a gun I used in PvE strikes but it got nerfed to oblivion as well as the SUROS. I agree that rarely does a PvE centric gun get nerfed but in the large picture people who complain because of PvP hurt the entire community
-
If you look at it like that then Yah. Most nerfs come from pvp. Only a small amount came from pve. But it's not like pve guns were drastically effected. Even if we're not talking exotics any nerf of perks or weapons didn't really affect pve experience.

HC range nerfs affect pve Scout rifle mag size affect pve Field scout perk changes affect pve Thorn. all thorn nerfs affect its viability in pve Last word. All last word nerfs affect pve usage. It was my first exotic and I used it for everything. Now it's just mediocre. Special weapon max ammo changes affect pve I'm sure there are more, but these are the first to pop in my head. I'd seen complaints about all of these affecting PVP experience before the nerfs occurred. There's been a good bit of PVP complaints and nerfs that have directly affected a pve experience. I cannot think of many pve experiences that have affected PVP experience.
-
I mean it just depends on perspective honestly. In my opinion the only thing that has affected me PvE wise was Thorn (which was just a fun gun) and Icebreaker. But you never know, maybe someone's favorite gun was ruined because of a patch. I get where you are coming from and as someone who goes between PvP and PvE often I can understand how getting killed by the same gun is annoying. I just think that it depends on one's mindset when in that situation. You can blame the gun, or you can try your hardest to stop it. So the NLB means that you should be able to rush the person well since they don't have an actual primary. Instead of playing long range and down hallways, play to your advantage. Now obviously this won't always work but that comes down to skill vs skill which is what it ultimately should come down to

i actually laughed at that. +6 for creativity
