This isn't up for debate.
Southern scumbags killed American citizens.
That's domestic terrorism and treason.
If you fly that flag, wear it on your clothes, or display it on your car with a bumper sticker, you don't deserve to live in this country.
If you hate America enough to fly the flag of our enemies, you should be forcibly deported, no questions asked.
I'm completely serious.

11 RespuestasI have read the post, and all the comments and your replies. I now realize how uneducated, ignorant, and close minded you are on this subject, and that arguing with you would be a waste of time. But I shall try.
It really says something about someone when they make a political post and one of their first words are "this is not up for debate"
Btw the North attacked the south first. If you had taken the 7th grade us history core class then you might have known that almost the entire war was fought in the south, with the south defending their home and beliefs. Sure they tried to split off from America because they though the new president would change things they didn't want changed, but doesn't that sound a bit like the left after this years election?

And we also used methods of total war on them, which destroyed homes, land, property, resources, and many other things vital to the South. That flag represents more than just the South's secession, and the flag itself isn't evil, nor are the views that developed it. It isn't terrorism or treason, actually; its the same as me flying a Finnish flag to show heritage, or an American flag to show national pride. Same concept, different reason. They weren't our enemies. They were us, and after the war we helped them repair because they were our brothers. And those who fly the flag are often the most prideful of our country, and fly a flag supporting political views. And deporting people for a freedom granted under the 1st Amendment (Freedom of Speech, Religion, Press, Protesting, e.g.) would, quite literally, cause the nation to go to shit.

23 RespuestasAnyone who flies a United States flag should be arrested and deported for treachery to the crown. Americans betrayed the empire, and her supporters should be punished because they all still live there!

Every day I seem to have less and less freedom.

10 RespuestasThe confederates weren't scumbags. They were Americans too. The just wanted to be left alone and only started the war because they were feeling threatened by the north. I'm not saying the north was threatening them but it's like being scared by a spider and stomping on it. The spider probably was just minding it's own business and blam, dead. There were problems on both sides that needed to be corrected and the civil war led to those problems being fixed. So it's not a crime to honor your ancestors if you are southern or you are a history buff. You are honoring history and remembering it. The real problem comes from people who think that the confederacy should "rise again" and bring slavery and separation back. That is not ok. But the confederates aren't the only ones at fault. All history wherever and whatever it is about should be taught. But seriously guys. You want remove the teachings about slavery in schools because you think it's offensive. No. Just no. You don't censor history. It happened already and the best thing to do is teach it, insight discussion about the topic and let students think about it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it never happened. In short, the confederates weren't scumbags, both sides had flaws and both people with mentality a that the other side is evil have a problem

8 RespuestasEditado por xD King Rush Dx: 4/25/2017 5:27:59 AMSo what if a relative served in the confederate army? Why not honor them? Are we forgetting that at the time of the war secession was believed to be a state's right? So, what about that? What about Lincoln being wholly unconstitutional? What of Lincoln's attempts at enacting law in territory that was technically not under his control? Edit: Also, does this mean I can't fly the Union Jack? What about the Spanish Flag? The Mexican flag? How about the Italian flag? The Vietnamese flag? How about the Cuban one?

4 RespuestasMy great great great grandfather was a confederate captain. He joined the Confederate army not because he had slaves but because he loved his new country. He did nothing wrong either. The CSA had every right to leave the Union and we invaded their territory. If you think the CSA was completely evil then you either have a horrible understanding of the war or just don't care. The confederate flag is not about hating America but for the freedom of session. If you want to deport people for having a flag that belonged to someone we went to war with then you'll be deporting me. I have a shirt with a Canadian flag and they invaded us and burned down Washington D.C. My triple great grandfather was not a scumbag. He was a war hero who endured emprisionment with his men by a foreign country attempting to assume control over them. And guess what? We killed their citizens to. Ever heard of Sherman's march to the sea? Where the union general marched from Atlanta to savanna burning down people's homes, barns, and food. How's that for terrorism? The world isn't black and white. And especially not something like this!

29 RespuestasIn that case, the same should go for people who burn the American flag, correct?
-
Anyone who displays the confederate flag is a part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor, take them away.
-
The US flag should also be banned due to treason to Britain, rascism and murder of natives, 80 years of supporting slavery, and forcing American citizens into concentration camps. Far worse has been committed under the US than a country that was barely around 5 years.
