You narrowed down crucible playlists. You claimed to tinker with matchmaking settings to focus on connection. Yet here we still are, 3 years into this game getting constant red bar warriors... And the best part about it: THEY'RE SOLO PLAYERS!!! It's not that you have people teaming up from other countries to play against me. I look at the roster, and see 2-3 red bars every game and they are always solo players.
Why do they get matched up with me?
Edit: ok, wow. This is a very general post seen on this forum every day/week, but has somehow become one of my biggest yet. So here's my obligatory edit, with my obligatory responses to all your obligatory replies.
1. Dude, it's your internet that sucks.
I disagree with that. I have the best internet available to my house (cable internet, 60 down 5 up) I have a pretty decent router that's only a few months old. My console is wired to said router. Console is in a DMZ and I have gone through uPnP settings as well. There is literally nothing more I can do to improve my own connection.
2. Go play a different game
I have. I am really enjoying Titanfall 2 again. But no other game is Destiny. I absolutely fell in love with this game's PvP over the years. The gun play, teamwork, character abilities and movement are unique to anything I've experienced before, and this is the game I want to play the most. Other games just don't bring the level of enjoyment Destiny does for me.
3. The player base is too small
That's why they reduced the number of playlists available and released Age of Triumph. You really think the player base is already done with AoT!? I disagree, my clan has seen some of the most expansion ever in the last couple weeks with people who want to play this game. So in my eyes, it makes no sense that player latency issues are increasing while the player base is expanding. Therefore my only conclusion is it's the fault of the game and it's matchmaking settings.
4. Stop whining on the forums about this, Destiny 1 is done!
Fair point and possibly true. But this is my only outlet to reach those responsible for the game, and they have said several times over that they are listening to our feedback. Not playing the game and being silent altogether is the loudest thing they listen to, I agree.... But see spoiler #2.
So to summarize: this game has the most lag issues of any that I currently play, those issues lately are coming from solo players instead of groups playing together from across continents, and bungie has said to use this medium as a source of feedback, so that's why I am doing so.
And as always.... Have nice day.
