I've been playing the game since year 1 and as time goes on, it seems that shotguns are just becoming more and more underwhelming. I almost never see them anymore, aside from the invective. I used the conspiracy theory-d and it never struck me as overpowered, but all that I heard people saying is that its the most broken weapon in the game. I was getting killed with sidearms more than anything. I took a week long break from the game and when I returned, it felt like the range was barely a fraction of what it should be. I think that this change was incredibly unnecessary. While I would like shotguns to return to where they were, I understand that the amount of people who hate shotguns outweighs the amount of people who want the range to be buffed. I kinda just want the slow fire rate, high impact shotguns to have the same range as they used to.

Yeah, so much for not nerfing them into the ground hey?
-
Shotguns are better than ever!!!
jk lol
-
1 RespuestaYeah shotguns have gone down the shit hole and aren't coming back up. My question is: WTF have they done to universal remote?! It's so shit!
-
The current iteration of shotguns feels like a crapshoot. Get in close, land the shot and then it's up to rng to decide if enough pellets hit for a kill. Couple that with the special ammo situation and shotguns just aren't viable or fun to use. It's funny... the thing I used to hate about fusion rifles, their inconsistency, is even worse on shotguns now.
-
Shotguns aren't bad, they're situational. I usually run HC/Sniper combo; but for the Crucible Shotgun bounties I threw on an Unraveling Thread (a pretty average Shotty, definitely no Matador) and got about half the bounty of 25 kills in one game, then finished the next. You just can't think to yourself "if I sprint around this corner, Shotty in hand and I see someone, they're getting one shot to the chest." Cautious Shotgunners usually do better than the Shotgun Warriors out there. Especially since Special ammo is a rarity now. Just gotta pace yourself.
-
I hate shotguns but they aren't even doing the job in their face anymore. They never needed to do the extra rangefinder and accuracy nerfs they left out
-
1 RespuestaY'all need to chill lol they nerfed shotguns cause "shotgun warriors" aka people with no weapon skill, were abusing the overpowered shotguns Bungie had in this game
-
3 RespuestasThe problem with conspiracy theory is that by doing a simple quest everyone got a pretty much god rolled shotgun. But shotguns are meant to be played at point blank range, today you can still 1 shot or people - just play more aggressive. However I do think that exotics like universal shouldn't have been touched at all. Exotics are meant to be exotic after all, now its back in the vault forever forgotten again.

2 RespuestasNothing in D1 is getting buffed or nerfed. How stupid are you forum people? It's over. It's done. Just wait till D2 to start crying for nerfs again
-
Shotguns are fine, when they have ammo. Unfortunately, that means they're useless in PvP a significant portion of the time.
-
As a shotgun main, NOPE!
-
I'm not pre ordering D2 with all this BS that goes on
-
16 RespuestasShotguns are pure trash now. Was trying to use them in iron banner last night cause the dumb bounty of 25 shotgun kills and it's just painful. Literally point blank doesnt kill someone anymore. Leaves them with a tiny bit of health. So useless.
-
7 RespuestasI used shotguns in year 1. I switched to fusion rifles when the nerfs came. I got tired of emptying a magazine into a yellow bar then getting killed by him while I was reloading. This didn't happen before the nerfs. This is why PVP and PVE weapon changes should have been separated. There's no PVE reason for all the shotgun changes. It would be nice if the separation is being done for Destiny 2. It would make my PVE playing much more enjoyable.

I would have liked to have seen how they did without the special ammo change. people wanted them nerfed. they got that and then bungo doubled down and nearly removed them from the game. they either needed to be left alone and the special ammo economy changed or nerfed and special ammo left as it was. both together was just insane. the fact they didnt figure that everyone would just grab side arms shows how much thought goes in to these things though haha. the game just feels very slow compared to before now. very bland and dull for me. that wont be the case for everyone. some people will like this crucible. for me if this crucible special ammo economy is in d2 I wont be buying it.

5 RespuestasEspecially since a -blam!-in fusion rifle can one shot ya from a mile away
-
7 RespuestasThat's because there are too many gamers that cry about weapon working as intended. It killed me so Bungie better nerf it. Well, Bungie nerfed shotguns 9 times if I'm correct. What company does this?

3 RespuestasEditado por llGhost1ll: 4/13/2017 10:07:42 PMOnly reason why shotguns are "useless" is because of the special economy, I've used a found verdict for some PVP and did just fine with it in Iron banner when I in fact did have ammo, try staying on the ground, the flying from the top for sure doesn't work anymore
-
Shotguns are still strong. They always will be
-
Maybe they are becoming more and more useless to you because from the vary beginning of the game they had extreme range. Now that primaries have been nerfed they are bringing shotguns in a place where they need to be.
-
Shotguns are not useless. I've used one recently and it is still amazing and completely viable, and it was in Trials I used it too!
-
As a shotgun main, no.
-
4 RespuestasGet over it, all anyone wants is another weapon to be buffed so it's the next dominant weapon in the game. Look back at year 1, you really want that again?
-
As a shotgun main I disagree. I too thought this after the nerf but after trying new ways to shotgun I started having more fun with them than I ever did. Use them like, you know, shotguns. Shotgun rushing is dead. Also don't talk about how great shotguns were in Year 1, because they function more like they did in Year 1 now than they every did. The only times Shotguns were OP In year one was during The House Of Wolfs DLC.
-
I did see them being weak at all last night in the hands of good players destroying me with them.
