The preorder bonuses are available until 8th September. The gameplay reveal is May. So the beta will be after the gameplay reveal. So I don't understand why online preorders are a thing now? I understand the collectors and limited editions in store being preordered, but xbox live and psn? Just seems like you commit to the game 6 months before its out, without seeing how it plays. I don't understand the need to preorder?

i know this because the previous installment is, and the next installment is one with an improved engine, so its VERY likely that it'll be just as good as what we have now. i know this because the last big franchise bungie did is still ongoing (albeit in name only RIP mister queef), and their latest franchise is currently being played, teaser trailer or otherwise.

The bad practices associated with preordering are not assumptions they are facts, just Google it.

so it was a bad practice to pre-order Mass Effect 3? it was a bad practice to pre-order fallout 4? GTA V? some games, like Andromeda, warrant dissuasion, yes, but in this case, D2 is pretty clinch: if your actively playing destiny, then it is HIGHLY unlikely that you will be dissatisfied with D2, actual gameplay or not. im also independently wise enough to not need to google everything.

Yes sometimes you just get lucky. And alot of those games were from then decent company's bungie and Activision have proven they can't be trusted. Also if you are why didn't you know where I was comming from to begin with then.

really? you call that sound logic? "always" means 100% of the time, or at least sans any inconceivable or extremely difficult to predict anomaly occurring. a game being worth the pre-order is none of those. when it happens with predictable results then it is not "luck" either. fallout 3 was amazing, fallout new vegas was good, therefore, fallout 4 was a sound and reasonable pre-order. elder scrolls morrowind is amazing, Oblivion was great, and Skyrim was completely worth the pre-order. mass effect 3 was the highly anticipated final instalment to the epic trilogy, you bet your ass it was pre-order worthy! true, pre-ordering everything is generally bad, but the inverse is not true! 'IF you pre-order, THEN it is bad' is a provably false statement, and it being a good thing isnt luck. certain game studios know what they are doing so the ones with a good track record is exactly that: a trend continuing in its predicted path. in this case, despite NOT seeing a single bit of game-play, BUT still at the helm of the previous installment, THEN you have a high probability of a worth-while game, therefore worth a pre-order! the anti-tiger rock uses 'logic' that religious idiots use when trying to defend their pitiful faith. here, however, like i have stated plentifully, we have good reason to, ironically in this context, believe that D2 will be worth it (for us who've enjoyed the Destiny experience, at least).

why dont you try taking your own advice, moron? here, ill make it easy for you; my 6th post, line 11. go ahead, read it, then eat your words. or have you muted me because you cant grasp simple concepts? finally, there is nothing wrong with supporting the busiiness that you typically love the products of. the Elder Scrolls (main series) has been consistently amazing and therefore has earned my zealous purchase of any future titles, so long as they continue to deliver. I USED to feel this way about halo, but after 4, i stopped buying halo stuff altogether. otherwise, though, like i said earlier, i dont pre order in general, because its not so good a practice.
