A lot of people are complaining about how Black Hammer is being retired and not coming back with the AoT update. While Black Hammer is a very nostalgic weapon from Year 1 that a lot of us Year 1 players have fond memories of (infinite shots on that Devil Walker in the OG Sepiks Prime strike, anyone?), it isn't coming back with the AoT update due to Black Spindle being a thing. However, this leaves a hole in the updated Crota's End loot table. We won't be having a Crota's End raid sniper rifle dropping for us and this is kind of an issue. What should be done to solve this issue would be to simply have the Exotic Black Spindle take the Black Hammer's place in the updated Heroic Crota's End raid and have it drop on the Heroic mode of Crota's End whenever it is featured in the Weekly Heroic Raid spot. By doing this, those who have yet to acquire Black Spindle or want to acquire one at a higher light level than before can simply receive it as a drop from the raid while those that already have it won't be negatively affected by this. Black Spindle is a Hive-based weapon that is an Exotic version of the old Black Hammer sniper rifle gained from completing the Crota's End raid so it would make sense that Black Hammer's replacement to once again replace it, this time from where it had originated from. Do you guys agree with this or do you have any other thoughts on this?
