This is, in my opinion, the worst the crucible has ever been. I have over 2000 hours on this game, I've been playing since launch, and I just took a month break off from it because it's in such a bad spot. People are sacrificing what makes this game special, what makes it fun, by attempting to balance it in the hopes of making it "competitive". Destiny is not "competitive", it never will be, and that's a good thing. I think it's safe to say that Destiny is a very beautifully unique game. It has done what no other shooter will ever accomplish. Please don't ruin that.

And with the incoming patch to sidearms, it's going to be even better. Destiny's PvP always could have been competitive, but it's never been quite balanced enough to make a substantial mark on the competitive scene. Also Destiny had something that no self respecting competitive FPS has really had, that being complex map design. Nowadays, this, and not balance, is what keeps Destiny from the forefront of the competitive scene. But even then, the idea that Destiny doesn't need balancing is a completely baseless and absolutely idiotic thing to say. All games need to be balanced, be it PvE or PvP. Gjallarhorn needed the nerf, not just because of its brutal efficiency in PvP, but it's disastrous power in PvE. The Division needed balancing to keep player power in line with each other and the enemies the devs put in front of them. Every game needs balance and Destiny, special snowflake as it is, still needs to be balanced every once in awhile.
