Looks like amazon shipped my copy a day early. Currently at 20%.
Edit: Finished downloading and I am enjoying it so far. The character customization is ok, not many options to choose from. The environments look amazing, probably one of the best looking games on current gen. Haven't made it very far in the story, but from what I've played it is pretty good. I can definitely see myself putting a lot of hours in this game. And yes, the animations are as bad as people are saying, but it is definitely not going to ruin the game for me and it shouldn't for you either.
Edit 2: Also, I should note that I have not played the original trilogy so I was not 100% sure on what to expect or why some people may be disappointed.
Edit 3: Now that it's available to everyone, how are you guys liking it?

4 RespuestasEditado por Sd Kfz 1824985: 3/23/2017 12:17:51 AMIt was designed by a racist, by the way. He hates white/caucasian people, and that's why there were no options for such a character in the trial. I refuse to buy a game from a company who doesn't even know who their disagrees are, as well as hire people who have no game experience. (Their lead animator)

Loving multiplayer. Getting an n7 from a loot box so satisfying.

2 RespuestasEditado por Unforgiven: 3/22/2017 9:07:32 PMI got the game and was playing it last night. All the people saying this game has no issues. I think were wrong. Lets just say the game is barely ok for a Mass Effect game but it feels like the game we are playing has multiple issues. Least of them the animations. And Bioware needs to put out multiple patches to fix everything. And so far they have been silent. Here is a list of issues I ran in so far. After about 5 hours in this game. - When you switch guns it shows the animation but doesn't switch. Happened multiple times during the Eos mission when switching from Assault Rifle to Sniper. - Male Ryder speaking but no voice coming out , happened twice. - Male Ryder blinking during cutscene like he was teleporting - Peebe still holds her gun backwards - wtf? - Dialogue: "What happened....... With........pause.......Pathfinder....." - "My face is tired". -this has to be the worst writing combined with voice over work done in gaming. - Dead lifeless eyes on the characters , darting everywhery are still there, it looks like the character is looking away instead of at the person they are talking to. - Weird lips smacking during conversation looks like Penguin from the cartoon. This is ok on Aliens but on human looks plain rediculous. Other not so onbvious issues. - Awkward walking animation, this one has been talked about but not yet patched - Writing is borderline cringe, where Ryder says things that are so obvious, he may as well not say anything. Shepard would be shaking his head right now. Nothing you say effects anything that hapoens in game. Dialogue choices may as well have been next, next, next. - Some of the character models look lile what I can only describe as badly polished. With lots of weird hair and polygon mesh glitches . - The train was blinking on the Nexus - Frame Rate and Perfomance issues on PS4 Pro. The fact this is in the game is not excusable. Don't they have testing? - Maybe some of these issues can be explained but there just so many, it is obvious the game was rushed to market and doesn't feel like you are playing the same game. There are so many gameplay systems and most could have been done better especially in the interface. - Some of the cutscenes backgrounds look outdated compared to the engine character models. Like you are playing a game from 2011. This has to be seen to understand. -Combat is great but the squad mates run around everywhere basically feel like retarded children, they are not really helping , and reduces the Rpg feel of the game. The cover based system is ok. But why did they remove damage numbers. I would like to see how much damage my gun is doing when i fire it. Weapons are tough to compare without actually using them. - Also found planet interface where you have to turn the planet tedious. It looks nice but makes little sense as it feels like you are flying in space without a suit. Would have been nicer if they made Ryder standing on the bridge or something looking through pilot window. But this one may not be an issue for you. -i could go on and on about the issues. No way is this game an 8/10. Anyone who says it is lying to themselves. I will force myself to play it because these facial expressions Male Ryder makes are funny as hell. The alien ruins mission are interesting. And for people saying I don't own the game. I posted a video on how to make a decent looking female sis Ryder. https://youtu.be/pjmxFqKEwXI

i'd say i'm probably around 15 hours in at the moment. Overall the complaints some people have brought up have panned out: ~CC is sad. ~some wonky facial animations are indeed present. ~ambient dialogue gets cut out often. ~Visual bugs/issues like things popping in or frame rates dipping in certain areas. The beginning of the game is indeed rough. but past that it seems to be doing well. Overall the only thing that's actually bothered me was the CC. I physically couldn't make the character I like to RP as in any other RPG type game. So I had to use a back up character. Which is fine. Hopefully they patch in better stuff for the CC later on. High point in the game for me right now is a tie between the VA and the new dialogue system.

Finished downloading and played through the first chapter doing everything I could. I'm really liking it so far. Still kinda getting used to everything again, as it's been a while since I last played through Mass Effect, but it's been fun so far. I haven't come across any weird bugs everyone talks about. And the facial animations aren't that bad to my eyes. Not great, but definitely not as bad as have been shown. Which doesn't really surprise me as people have the tendency to blow the smallest things out of proportion

Editado por Brindle_Badger: 3/22/2017 3:04:37 AMOriginally I wasnt too concerned about the facial animations Especially since there were rumors of a patch But now that I've sunk a few hours into it Even the gameplay and story so far is meh Lack of decent animation makes it hard to connect to any of the characters, granted m.e has a history of taking many hours to get to know a character Gunplay just doesn't feel smooth Abilities are eh Crafting system is one of the worst I've ever used The cover system is horribly bugged and unreliable Haven't encountered any music in the least while exploring I'll still put some more time into it to see if anything improves, but if it continues on this road then it'll be going on eBay for cheap

2 RespuestasIdgaf about all the negativity from all you people slamming it cause of the animations, other than that it looks amazing ☑️ Amazing graphics ☑️ Beautiful environments ☑️Great gameplay ☑️Fun multiplayer ☑️We get to bang aliens ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ☑️ Interesting characters ☑️Great story To sum it up I'm hyped and there's nothing that will change that

6 RespuestasIn my time, I learned people are full of shit, do your own research is the best option. This game has been great 3 times around, and is bioware's baby. It's not a COD, or some every year game, it's going to be worth it, in my opinion. Try the trilogy still, I love ME 1, but ME 2 mechanics, and story is great! 3 is amazing as well.
-
Just stated and only had an hour or so to play. Great graphics. Enjoying the 3rd person combat so far. Seems better than division with the cover and topography. Liking it so far...yeah, the bow-legged running is weird.
-
Been playing all day and I am comfortable giving my opinion. The facial animations are lack luster. Considering what ME3 gave us in this regard, that is a bit of a let down when you consider that this go around the programmers have better hardware to work with. I have noticed some fr drops and this can be mildly annoying. The environments though are truly spectacular!! I love exploring the planets I land on just to see what is around the corner. I am loving the story, which is the number one thing I was concerned about when I first heard about this title. Worries are out the airlock. I am glad that this game takes place in a different galaxy than the Shepherd Trilogy, as there is no way Bioware/EA could make a sequel based in the Milky Way without canonizing one of the three endings from ME3.
-
that's awesome my birthday is in two days and I don't have anything elts to ask for so I have to wait until then but I will definitely be putting a LOT of time in this game
-
I'm already in love with this game!

Editado por PwrBagger5k: 3/21/2017 6:06:34 PMIs anyone else having a blast starting a new galaxy, or is it just me? The MP so far is great, but challenging to say the least. I couldn't imagine still playing a game based in the Milky Way, like, 600 years ago! *BLECK* It's nice to play with advanced weaponry, instead of being forced to use primary rifles w/ iron sights, and peashooter sidearms. That's just now how you conquer a galaxy.
-
Played very little of the game last night and this morning however will see how it goes as this is my first ME game. Maybe that's a good thing as I hear so much about the initial trilogy. Going into this new game with a clean slate and nothing to compare it against etc.

2 RespuestasAre the graphics and lip sync a downgrade from mass effect 3?

9 RespuestasEditado por TheArtist: 3/21/2017 11:37:55 AMSimply enjoy the game. The reaction to this game is proof of why there will never be a Half-Life 3. What's funny is----in response to the criticism that the game is getting for its poor facial animations----Game Radar posted a YouTube video comparing the original game to MEA. The facial animations in the original game were even worse. The new game was clearly better. Are the best animations in the business? No...but then neither was the original game either. The problem here is the same problem that George Lucas ran into with the Star Wars prequels. So many people loved the first three games SO much, and bring such a crushing weight of hype and expectation to this....that it simply becomes impossible to meet them. Because NOTHING in the real world is ever going to be as good as what your imagination can create. So people bitch about how horrible the Prequels were....when the fact is that they are actual better movies than Episodes 4-6. They just didn't redefine how sci-fi movies were made and seen in society like the original trilogy did (that was never on the table). The Original Star Wars trilogy was a simple fairy tale mixed with the mythic "Hero's Journey" (Luke). The Prequels were a far more subtle and interesting story of how democracies self-destruct mixed with pure Greek tragedy (Anakin). But a point you'll miss if you demand that the movies make you feel the same way that the original movies did. Not going to happen. Ever. TLDR: People have the ME trilogy on such a pedestal that they came to MEA demanding to have their "minds blown"....instead of simply having a good, fun game to play, and a chance to revist a favorite universe. Plus Bioware is getting caught in the can't win situation of.....if they don't change the formula they get criticized for lack of creativity. They change the formula....and people complain about having changed the formula. But the simple fact of the matter is---as we say in music----, "What sounds good is good." If you're enjoying the game, then that's all that matters and ignore all the other shit swirling around. You're in the fortunate position of being able to evaluate the game on its own merits.
