It seems some people don't get why old-timers complain about vault space.
Recently, I did a second account from scratch, just to re-experience the beginning of the game.
Guess what ? I had tons of fun ! One really really cool aspect of it was when I started dropping legendaries, on the way to 400. I could keep every weapon, take my leasurely time to test it, or keep it around for later maybe.
Then I came back to my primary account, you know, the one with 100 weapons and 100 pieces of armor in the vault.
Game was still great, but I actually cringed (physically) when I came back to the tower! Ten items at the post-office. Fifteen minutes playing with Destiny Item Manager, figuring out what was better, what I was going to destroy... and move stuff around from character to character just so I could get stuff out from the postmaster to delete it.
That's the reason. It is cramped. If you collect weapons, or armor, or look for the perfect tier 12 combination, if you're like me and you play several classes, and you want to change doctrine, and need the items to do proper stuff, you've been spending a lot of not fun time managing a cramped vault instead of having fun playing.
I hadn't realized it that consciously, but trying a new account put that in perspective in a big way.
Every time you have to fiddle with your inventory just so that things fill still fit, destiny dies a little bit for you.

3 RespuestasPlayer since day 1, vault space has never been a problem.

I'm a day 1 player and vault space is not an issue whatsoever 80% of the gear in this game isn't unique enough to keep, phuck God rolls, use what feels the most comfortable, and keep a few nostalgiac items That is all
-
Delete all your stuff that you haven't used in the past 90 days, it's garbage. You're welcome.
-
2 RespuestasI'm a year 1 player and vault space is not a problem, delete shit you don't use and stop holding on to crap. Move on.

Wish we had the space we have now when the game started. Miss my up for anything and one way ticket 000.

Death by disappointment.

17 RespuestasWarning: actual math contained below to quantify vault space in relation to Bungie marketing practices Bungie now advertises heavily armor sets to market its product. Bungie promotes collecting as an activity in it's loot based game. If you don't see that you're either not paying attention or have an agenda to defend Bungie at the expense of other guardians. It's really nonsensical for players who don't care to engage in collecting armor sets to tell other players how to enjoy the game. It's a little righteous from my perspective. Let me remind you: while Bungie was promoting ROI, they said we would have more vault space. "not on Day 1, but after" is the exact quote. Not only did they not give use more vault space, they allocated development resources for creating a kiosk to facilitate silver dust and ornaments microtransactions as well as a holiday kiosk for the same reason. Since you want to talk about vault slots, let's look at all the armor sets Bungie is promoting for us to go out and get: Days of Iron set Archon's Forge set Wrath of Machine set King's Fall set The Dawning microtransactions set (2) TTK microtransactions set (2) The Dawning set from new weekly bounties Iron Banner set from TTK Iron Banner set from ROI Trials set from TTK Trials set from ROI Queens armor set House of Judgement set (COE/POE) Sublime set (ps4 (2)) SRL set New Monarchy set Dead Orbit set FWC set chroma set crucible set Vanguard set Strike specific loot armor Dusty Engrams (2 versions of Y1 IB sets per character) Updated VOG, Crota, POE, KF (4) So if you want to talk about numbers, let's do that. That's 31 sets Bungie advertised as an activity while they asked us to spend money on their product. 31 sets X 3 Characters X 4 armor slots = 372 and that's just legendary armor. Doesn't even include exotics, weapons, all the new class items they added in ROI, ghosts, or artifacts. That doesn't even include situations most people use for guantlets for autos, pulses, snipers, handcannons, etc. 372 Pieces of Legendary armor -108 Vault spaces for armor -120 spots on characters (10 x 4 armor types x 3 characters) =144 spots we don't have Meanwhile, we get all these consumables through microtransactions and Bungie PURPOSELY gives us no quick way to discard them to conserve vault space. You know why? Because they want us to use them so that people will see us in the tower to help promote microtransactions for them. It's time to wake up and see what's happening. If you're not going to support other guardians don't come in here defending corporate greed.

All they had to do was add kiosks for the raid weapons and gear. It's not like the rolls changed on the weapons anyway.
-
12 RespuestasOk. People are hating on these posts, and I don't know why. Different people play different ways. Added space would not hurt you in any way. Seriously.
-
So, with that amount of weapons and armor, you use everything on page 1? Chances are, that stuff has been sitting.
-
You know I always thought that when these vault posts come up the comments are ridiculous! Why are people complaining about something that will benefit them. There is no bad thing about increasing vault space except for maybe a 60 mb update.

15 Respuestas
It seems some people don't get why old-timers complain about vault space.
I played the Alpha/Beta and from Day One. Clocked up 3500+ Hours. I'm not complaining about vault space. I just delete all the shite that I don't use. Pretty simple. Only people bitching about vault space are 8 year olds and the basement dwelling hoarding nerds that have nothing better in their life than playing video games.

Editado por DidacticRhetoric: 3/16/2017 7:48:58 PMDeath BY a thousand cuts. I'm sorry.

I have no problems with vault space. Just delete everything unupgraded, and everything on the first page, it means they aren't used. Problem solved. You have kiosks too, and I'm sure you have exotics you never use. Anyone with full vault space has issues, seriously. And they already said no more vault space, these post are repetitive and useless

17 RespuestasOld timers remember less vault space in year 1 and know the current amount is a luxury in comparison
-
I know I collect way more than I need to, but likewise have all of my character slots full, have 1-2 vault spaces open just to move items around between characters. My Postmaster is also full, and I'll check it occasionally to see if there is anything good, but most of the time just let items roll off the Postmaster. More space would be nice! Especially with the new raid armor on its way.
-
Right now my vault is full and my characters have 9 or 10 slots filled in each category. When the revamped raid gear starts dropping I have a feeling I'll have no trouble finding space when I start deleting all the original 170 light versions along with all the Y2 and Y3 gear I'll never look at again.

16 RespuestasDay one player here, 2152 hours played. Plenty of vault space, plenty of fun weapons and armor. Your point is invalid
-
2 RespuestasEach character has their own vault, then all 3 vaults are connected to transfer items. Done and done. Beer time?
-
Beta/day 1 player here. If this game has 'old timers', I'm certainly among them. That being said... Vault space is NOT an issue. Whether you'll admit it or not, you and I both know that you've got a lot of gear in the vault that you'll never use. Quit crying for space to store more shit that you'll never use.
-
Good post. I agree, I've had to literally sit down and manage all of my loot a few times over the past few weeks. It's just too cramped. Sure I've made enough room now, but it's still a challenge to try out new rolls on weapons and different builds across 3 characters.
-
4 Respuestas100 weapons and 100 armor. sounds like 16 free spaces to me...
-
4 RespuestasIf you keep armor sets for every situation on perfect rolls, you don't have enough space. You keep a perfect roll for all the best base stat weapons, you fall short. You share this miniscule space with three characters? You are crying over every perfect roll dismantle. People with this issue are being hurt you inconsiderate jerks.
-
20 RespuestasWhy the hell do you have 100 weapons & armor pieces in your vault?
-
1 RespuestaI just dismantled all my Year 1 gear last night. A little upsetting letting go of all my old favourites like Praedyth's Timepiece, Found Verdict, Oversoul Edict, Vision of Confluence... And all my old armour sets I collected. Will just have to settle with the new ones only.

I moved every prized 'God Roll' weapon and armor piece to my other two toons (glorified vault space) then deleted the toons! Got rid of things I worked hard for in a single delete/yes I mean it/I'm still sure I mean it/ just f'king delete darnit - move... "it was glorious" Built two new toons, and, the same crap I deleted started dropping again! Just can't win sometimes 😂
