The Taken Nightmare
We killed oryx to get rid of the taken but still we have to fight them. It well over a year now a it wall to wall taken how much more do we have to put up with. if this is what you call this the age of triumph then those at bungie are full of shit. I can't do anything without the damm taken turning up & screwing things up when I'm in pve patrol I don't give a damm what anyone thinks at this point. All I want is the taken gone - no more - it over with so I can get back pve patrol & not put up with this crap
Edit: why can't people get it ... NO TAKEN .... I don't want any excuses for bungie crap

Killing the Taken King does not destroy all the Taken. It merely cuts off the head of army, they rally under a new leader. If you are so story related, you shouldnt start a Patrol on the old version of earth. Start Patrols on the plaguelands, no taken there.

But here's a story REASON for them being around, not an excuse. When you kill the head of an army THE ARMY STILL EXISTS. The guardians made targeted assaults on Oryx, taking the fight to him/her as soon as it could. But Oryx has been amassing Taken forces for a while, so after the Taken King was defeated in his/her nether realm, the Taken rallied behind other leaders and continued to fight. Especially because there was nowhere to go once the leader was killed, so they wouldn't up and leave. And if you think there wouldn't be a lot of Taken after Oryx died, think about how HUGE the Dreadnaught is, and then that taken are interdimensional beings. So it makes a LOT of sense that we still have to mop them up. If they all just disappeared, that would make NO sense. Perhaps there should be a DLC or update where we finally track down the last of them, but I can understand that wouldn't happen just yet. It would be good to have it JUST before Destiny 2 happens so we don't have them in Destiny 2, and they don't have to program them.
