Apparently Rep Chaffetz thinks avoiding buying a new iPhone every year is enough savings to cover your healthcare needs. I don't know about you, but $63/mo [$749/12] doesn't even cover my portion of my employer-subsidized health insurance.
Neat! Try it!

Nobody actually wants to spend money on health insurance until they get sick."[/quote] Neat! Everyone is healthy in America! That means we have to hike the price so everyone is a cash cow!!!

6 RespuestasEditado por TheNobleWolf: 3/9/2017 3:41:19 AMLet's just repeal Obamacare and reform the system. We can start by* regulating the greed of the insurance companies and by removing the regulations that increase the cost of healthcare.

Healthcare is way easier to fix than we make it out to be. The reason why we make it difficult is because the insurance companies want to keep their hand in the cookie jar. If you privatized healthcare, it would create a competitive market where people could research prices for each doctor close to them and pay what they want for a procedure. This would cause doctors to compete with each other for business while also creating transparency with the consumer. Case in point, my wife's birth control. When she uses her insurance , the cost of her birth control is higher than using just a regular Walgreens coupon. Now, you tell me how they makes any sense at all when a service we pay for increases the price of a product she uses. It's all because insurance is acting as a middle man and wants to keep their cut of the pie. Just had to type that. Not attacking you or anyone else.

8 RespuestasNot gonna argue but you completely took a 24 second video and made up a story on very little context.

6 RespuestasRaises everyone's taxes $1000 or more and give everyone universal healthcare. I'm not well educated on Canada's universal health care but it seems to work well. Just follow our footsteps. Maybe it'll work.
-
20 RespuestasActually I'm curious. How much more tax would America have to pay to get universal health care? I'm assuming not much due to the sheer size of population.

It's over Anakin!

2 RespuestasGot to love our representatives hard at work by blaming our own people when other countries pay way less for meds and medical services.

3 RespuestasOr or or the government can go back to not punishing people who don't have health insurance? Right? Seems like a no-brainer to me

2 RespuestasDon't see anything wrong here. He just gave an example of what someone could do to save money that could be put toward their healthcare. Did he need to list all the things one can do to save money? Here I'll help you out Max. Don't just not buy the IPhone, cancel your plan and get a home phone they're cheat as -blam!-. Don't buy a new car with $500+ monthly payment, buy a used car. Don't eat out, cook at home. You can take that a step further and cook things like beans and rice(like what most of the world subsists on) with a little meat. Cut out spending on the "extras". You don't need that new video game, you don't need to see that movie, you don't need to go to the bar, you don't need a pet, you don't need a premium product that has a cheaper alternative, and that not even half of the ways you can save money.

There were plenty of articles that were better at bashing it. The part (only part) im enjoying about it is seeing republicans infighting about the bill. Even the Koch are complaining about it. This is probably the only time ill feel bad for trump. If he helps edge just a little more moderate in the bill, he could actually help pass something and guarantee a big boost to moderates and could help if he ran again.... but he has right wing opposition so if he caves to them he loses that chance. If he doesnt then he loses some support. Either way he loses some and keeps others.
-
7 RespuestasCmon don't be -blam!-ing stupid his argument is sound, most young people don't save for health care and if they did would be able to cover way more costs.
-
2 RespuestasUgh you sound like those annoying ads on every website ever
-
26 RespuestasThe GOP proposal isn't good at all. The basically said we're going to replace the ACA with our version of the ACA, just it'll cost more and your premiums will rise more.
