No, I'm not.
To start the series they said they planned on carrying shit over. That was a promise that enticed a lot of players to join the community. Not carrying over is going to drive off a lot of players, myself included.

Editado por SmashvilleViking: 3/4/2017 6:47:04 PMThey said characters and progress would carry. They didn't say anything about gear, emblems, shaders, etc...
-
So in 3 years they can't change their mind on how their sequel which they are creating is going to play out because only a year before release the game was scree when the story was re written and everything was messed up. Mkay.
-
No....it wont.
-
So what you want is more small expansions instead of a full game? How would you progress in a new game if you start the game with everything unlocked. I truly don't understand people who think like you.
-
And I don't get why people like you want this to be like every other -blam!-ing game on the market. They sold the game originally as something innovative and different. But between the whiney ass pvp crowd that's killed the best weapons in the game and their lack of caring for the pve crowd in general has turned this into cod:space adventures
-
But it wasn't ever released as an innovative game. It was supposed to be much better than the shell of a game we got. How is carrying over the same weapons and abilities in the fourth year of a game any fun, let alone innovative?

Destiny fell flat on a lot of things, no body is arguing that. But DeeJ's own words were "the plan is to let you carry your guardian across releases for the lifespan of Destiny". Wouldn't even be mad if they only kept some things. They could rework the subclasses in, give us options. It's another outright lie and complete betrayal.
-
Carry our guardian ... here's the thing, our ACTUAL GUARDIAN is being carried over lol. Where in that does it include "and all weapons and all armor and all shaders and all emblems and blah blah blah"
-
I feel like people have completely detached who their guardian actually is with the gear they wear, treating the gear alone like a person.
-
That's true, but I can't blame them either necessarily. Our guardian is voiceless, faceless (basically), shows no emotion what so ever; so it makes sense that some people would see it that way
-
Well with a new game there's a chance to change that.

To each his own. I don't want my gear to carry over. I want a fresh start. It's not an expansion, it's a new game.
-
It is. I can respect your opinion. But a lot of people bought into thinking it was going to be literally a 10 year progressive game. I'm not a dev, I don't know how that would work. The point is, before launch, they lied saying our guardian would carry over.
-
No single game thrives 10 years straight on console.
-
It's it a lie? What they previously said about carrying over was ambiguous I believe. Did they every say everything related to our characters would carry over, gear included?
-
No they did not. Our guardian itself is in fact carrying over like they said
