Too many weapons.
Too many archetypes.
Too much to balance with too many amateur employees.
Too much focus on weapons instead of actual content.
Way too many reskins of the same exact weapon.
Too many useless blues & greens
Loot pool waaaay too big
Too much $ time & focus spent on weapons.
Too much time spent on "balance"
Creating vault issues (with armor as well)
Exotics should be power weapons to pick up on maps.
Let us use as many exotics as we want, in pve. Weapons & armor
Eliminate the weak archetypes, let all the reskins be weapon x, that we can customize functionality & aesthetics, & still be on the same page as everyone else.
This will create the balance you so desperately look for, unless we are your hamsters in this Destiny wheel..

7 RespuestasI'm going to respectfully disagree on these issues:
Too many weapons. Too many archetypes.

Too much time spent on "balance"

Exotics should be power weapons to pick up on maps. Let us use as many exotics as we want, in pve. Weapons & armor
I think part of what makes Destiny Destiny is the fact that you have so many possible rolls/varieties of weapons that the game, in theory, could be fun and exciting. I think having not only several kinds of weapons, but also several archetypes of weapons allows players the ability to pick which weapons suit their style of play - again, in theory. Want an example? I absolutely LOVE the high-impact, low RoF archetype of HC. It's supposed to be strong in midrange, and weak up close. I also prefer the moderate RoF pulse rifles like The Villany or 55Allfate over the lowest impact or highest impact archetypes. Even though the other archetypes have always been more powerful in one meta or another, the moderate RoF archetype had a good shot cadence which allowed me to circle strafe and dodge some fire, allowing me to survive/win more gun battles, even against those who use other archetypes. If these were eliminated, they'd be eliminating my weapon choice, and I'd be forced to use whatever the prevailing archetype, which may or may not suit my playstyle. This game is NOT Halo, and eliminating archetypes and weapons would just be another step TOWARDS the game becoming that kind of generic arena FPS game. I do agree that they almost obsessively focus on balance and weapon usage stats, rather than focusing on making sure the game is fun to play, both in PVE and PVP. I think with so many variables, both in abilities AND perks, they need to stop trying to make 1:1 balancing a goal, because that will simply just get us to a generic/standardized experience similar to Halo, which IMO would be bad for THIS game. That's not Destiny. While it would be awesome to equip multiple exotics in this game, I'm not sure that would be a good change. I do like that by equipping different exotics, I can essentially emphasize a certain ability to compliment my style of play. For instance, I like to emphasize my gunslinger's super, so I'm inevitably going to always have Symbiote or nighthawk helm on rather than ahamkaras spine. having to make that choice is simply part of the game and part of what makes Destiny awesome. I think where they screwed themselves the most is not sitting down to think how certain logistical decisions would pan out. For instance, they never thought about how much the community would be pitted against itself when they decided to balance PVE and PVP with the same patches, or how it would pit hardcores against casuals by not having in-game LFG, optional matchmaking, etc. All of the issues Destiny has had since launch are actually ALL entirely foreseeable. It's Bungie's stubborn refusal (or inability?) to change their philosophy that has really hamstrung this game IMO.

Too many archetypes is the biggest reason why weapon balancing is difficult. High, medium and low rate of fire. How hard is that? Funky stuff with exotics like 4th Horseman is welcome.

I would rather have 12 total weapons in the game with 1000 unique skins and attachable elements. I'd much prefer to farm for skins than a roll on a weapon with a 1 in 1 million chance of dropping any day of the week. Stop changing the damn economy with each expansion and get rid of double RNG. Geez just do it where it drops at max light in end game content, make the drops more rare like VoG and give them more leveling nodes. Get rid of light levels altogether. All it accomplished is leveling your players out of content in an already small game. Had we never gone beyond level 30 everything to date would still be in play. This is a loot based game but why collect useless loot. Why play if it will only get phased out every expansion. Does Bungie even understand the definition of expansion, they should call then contractions instead.

6 RespuestasSo you want less on the game? This is not Halo, the pick up thing doesn't work here.

8 RespuestasExotics as power weapons would never work. Maybe in year one.

1 RespuestaI don't think it's too many archetypes and such, just too many useless weapons(blues, greens). I would love to see full weapon customization in D2. As in, you start out with a white gun, as you level it up it turns blue. Instead of rng perks coming on the gun, you play the game to earn the perks you can get to put on your gun. When it's done and you've gotten your perks from rng/earning it, scopes you want, maybe a burn if they have it, it turns legendary and its your gun. I'd rather have that instead of the 95% of guns we dismantle now. This would also be on bungie's part to actually give us good perks. As for exotics, I somewhat disagree. I like the two exotics how it is now, but bungie should give us the option on what exotics we want to equip. Maybe two weapons instead of one weapon and one armor.

1 RespuestaTheir are some I agree on some I don't we want a harder game not an easier one so no to the exotics. While I agree that their is too meny clones and too meny archetypes I also like those but hate how the loot pool is to big without reforge I can't be brotherd to grind cause it takes to long to get the gun I want. So just bring reforge back but costing 150 legendary marks a go and their will be more players bring on both guns and armour.
