Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've really grinded in this game.
(I did play TTK for about two months this past summer, but I digress)
I just picked up RoI and am curious what your thoughts are on the state of the game. It seems as though the player base has shrank since I was last here, probably due to a content drought (which is fine, provided that the Spring update satisfies).
A few things have changed for the better
I like the infusion system
I like that gear is easier to obtain (I am finding that the grind is pretty real beyond 365+ though)
I like the quest guide and progression menus
I like that gear is significantly more varied as opposed to year 1 (everyone had the same raid gear)
I like the in-game economy more - materials are easier to obtain IMO
I like that old strikes have been redone with SIVA (Devil's Lair has always been one of my favorites)
I like a whole host of others things that I cannot think of right now because I can't brain today
Despite all this,
- Weapons are still not balanced (There are many opinions on this, but this seems to be the consensus)
- The PvE and PvP elements of this game are STILL not separate - Why introduce a patch that nerfs pulse rifles (especially red death) in PvE when the issue resided in PvP?
- Branching off of that, the only class of weapon that is at or slightly above launch stats is scout rifles. I'm not going to get into this, but after totaling all buffs and nerfs, pretty much every class of weapon is worse than it was at launch. I mean, have you guys tried using some of these weapons? They gargle anus.
-Most year 1 content has been left behind. This is the biggest issue for me. I understand that bungie has hinted at the notion that they will not maintain old content, but we have two full raids that are sitting there collecting dust. VoG and CE were fantastic raids and it honestly makes me sad to think that those two raids, where a lot of players have many fond memories, are no longer challenging and have nothing within them worth playing for.
-I'm sure there are other gripes but these were the big ones for me
Having said all this, what do you all believe bungie will implement in the spring update?
What are your thoughts on bringing old raids up to max light level?
What are your thoughts on weapon balancing (for PvE at least, I understand PvP is a whole different animal and everyone is getting sore trigger fingers from spamming side arms)
What do you think would bring other players, who have gotten bored, back?
(I have plenty to play right now, but I remember deleting and creating new characters in Year 1 due to boredom.)
Thanks for reading. Hopefully I'll raid with a few of you on LFG in the next few weeks.
Have a nice day,
Dr Nefarious

3 RespuestasYea gear is easier to obtain alright, the grind takes about two days now bro seriously, this game is phucking trash and I was a diehard since 2014. By the time D2 comes out other studios will have released far better games Star Citizen is one. I am currently playing through Borderlands 2 and loving it, trust me you will be done with ROI in about 2 days its garbage.
