Hey man , worth a shot. I'm a small streamer, almost at 1,500 followers. Would love to make friends with you and multi stream sometime. They say making it on twitch is a combination of hard work, skill, and luck. Been working hard, carried millions upon millions to the lighthouse, now I'm just looking for some luck. Will today be the day? Love your stuff keep up the good work buddy

  • You been Flawless 105 times. A lot of Trials streams do that monthly. Let's relax with the exaggerations. Millions huh? 🤔 On another note established streamers don't just befriend random streamers. It takes a very long time to network and establish relationships. Simply asking for hand outs in a sense is ignored by bigger streamers. I have seen enough videos about growing as a streamer to know you need to put in A LOT of time and get a little lucky. I believe hard work creates better luck. I have no interest in being a streamer, but that belief is for all parts of life. If your content is good enough and you put in the work it will get recognized. I'm not sure how long you have been streaming, but some Destiny streamers have been streaming for over two years and still only around 8-10 thousand followers. There are tons of videos on YT to help a growing streamer, don't be that guy begging for attention from larger streamers, it will work against you.

There are tons of videos on YT to help a growing streamer, don't be that guy begging for attention from larger streamers, it will work against you.[/quote] His usage of "taken millions and millions of people flawless" was a hyperbole. I assure you, we've all said that stuff; you included. In JKeggys defense, mtashed literally said AMA. No one can judge his question. Clearly you checked stats, and that is fine. You say he has went 105x, I cannot confirm this. However, you then compared him to streamers I'm only to assume you meant to be are Jake and Kraftyy with the "they do that in a month". This is a clear example of apples to oranges comparison. Those guys stream a ton over the weekend (that is a hyperbole FYI). Keg goes to work in the day, spends time with family at night, and then plays at the end of the day. Now to stat check, if Destiny / Bungie kept track of each TEAM you took the lighthouse, his number would be millions higher (see what I did there?). I will admit, I felt strongly obligated to comment on this for two reasons. The first being I like mtashed, and two, I recently came across JKeggys stream about three weeks ago. I have not played with him once, however I hang out there quite regularly. He plays regularly with another guy I've played with quite often; GooseEgg33. I am not super big on hanging in streams but these two dudes are chill, have a damn good time, and are very good at the game. They do not put you down if you play bad and welcome anyone. Anyone reading this I advise to check them out.

  • Thanks bag, your a genuine guy and nothing makes me happier than to see you hanging out on a daily basis :) I didn't mean to start a war over this post, but I appreciate you seeing my point of view. I honestly didn't think mtashed would respond, but I'm sure most top streamers who caught their break or whatever may have catapulted them to success didn't expect their life change to occur either. I'm just gonna keep chugging along, making connections, having fun meeting awesome people like you, and hope I can catch the eye of a top streamer who, for whatever reason, may wish to take me under their wing. It may never happen, but you'll never know if you don't try :)

  • Well I just followed you on twitch now. I like the smaller streamers because you actually remember people lol. If you ever wanna help a brother out who has been around from destiny year 1 and still hasn't gotten to the lighthouse it would be much appreciated. I pretty much only need that grimore card and I beat destiny lol.

  • That's the exact point I was making and defending. I wasn't trying to battle the other guy, however I saw your point of view. I see nothing wrong with friending others that share your passion. Keep doing what you're doing, posting in forums, spreading the word; you'll get noticed. For me, I'll spread the word when I can. If you're on tonight man I'll be stopping by.

  • He can ask anything he wants, it's freedom of speech. However, that doesn't mean it's the right thing to say. I don't hang out in streams much, but a couple of things become very obvious... 1) streamers hate if you promote yourself or ask for them to befriend you 2) a pro (big) streamer will never ever host or raid a streamer they don't know With that said, coming at a streamer like Mtashed saying "hey I'm a streamer, help me get followers by being my friend" is probably the worst thing you can do for your Twitch reputation. That's what op did indirectly. Big streamers aren't stupid, they know your intentions, which is exactly why they ignore it. To finish, Jkeggy is a great player, that's a good start. I'm simply saying don't shoot yourself in the foot before you give yourself a legit chance at being successful. Destiny streamers towards the top are TIGHT, they police the community and have their ways of how things should be done. Once again, tons of videos are available of do's and don'ts.

  • I will not argue that streamers police what happens. I'm not a fan of it. There are about 2-4 that pretty much control everything, and some are complete assholes about it. We can agree to disagree his nature of the question. I am making a strong assumption the question was presented bc mtashed is a cool ass dude. I don't think keg would have asked that to other people. I personally hope mtashed gives keg a 1v1 and they talk during that. Mtashed loves doing that and it gives keg a chance to talk. Just remember, there is no harm in having a mentor. And I won't be going to YouTube to look at the do's and dont's of streamin, as I personally have no desire or time to do so. I will stay in banking. Now if you want to point out my emblem; well what can I say, I'm a completionist.

  • I've been streaming for 13 months, it's very hard to gains viewers. I understand that big streamers get asked all the time for help, viewers etc. I get it. I don't expect anything from mtashed. Doesn't hurt to throw a dart though, amirite? ;)
