Shotguns
I believe the shotguns were nerfed a bit too much. I don't know any other gun with a series of 4 nerfs. The accuracy loss is unrealistic in a game that requires double jumping and lateral movements. This is not call of duty. Most fights are off the ground or require elevation and it feels unnatural to use this weapon type now with these extreme changes.

23 RespuestasShotguns should be close combat only. Its how a real shotgun works. But, you should not be able to rush in while somebody unloads a whole clip into you, and still walk away. Shottys should have been, and actually should be again, nerfed. I do like the new changes, though what I am seeing now, is either I do really well, or completely and utterly horrible. Went from a 4.5 K/D game, to the next being a .13. Yeah, it is that bad. I have a feeling that sbmm is hardly in the game now. Either I come up against some at my level, or those that just plain out class me. But, I have only been killed by shot guns maybe 3 times since the change. Before that, it was just about every time. I really do wish there was a playlist that was strictly sbmm, or with those just above your level. I think I would be much more balanced in my K/D.

The pvp in call of duty blops3 frankly just feels better Sure, depending on the weapon the first person who fires will probably win the engagement but that's... Kinda how the thing works.. Destiny? I don't know........ I get pissed when I lose an engagement but I get more pissed when I lose the engagement and feel like I lost because of the broke ass physics of this game... Err.. Sorry... "Features"... Like sprint cooldowns and cornering on a ballpark instead of a dime. I swear you take corners while sprinting in destiny like a -blam!-ing 18 wheeler.

Maybe it's the auto aim you miss? Shotgunning warriors needed to be stopped. 3 years in a row. Snipers saw 1 meta. That was 100 Yard Stare. Ice breaker saw 4 nerfs. It hasn't been buffed 1 time. If you wanna complain about shotguns go play Battlefield.

I have always used a deidris retort I got from iron banner and even after patch I still get the same amount of kills and maybe a few more because I am now not out ranged by a OP Matador. ... if I get out ranged it should be because he has better roll then I do... play the game get a better roll stop crying and have fun.

I used a shotgun in the second half of a game after this patch once. I actually almost came back in a game of Skirmish even though I was down over 1000 points. I believe I got around 5 shotgun kills too. They're fine where they're at in my opinion.

1 RespuestaA shotgun fires spread pellets, it's very realistic to get a wide spread of hitpoints. Sometimes the pellets miss. It's a risk reward system. That's the point of a shotgun. I personally am enjoying the lack of shotguns in the meta, coming from a shotgun user myself. The game is not all played in the air, it's just how the mlg crowd chooses to play. The shotgun nerf is very realistic. They are still useable, and their usability is much more in line with what a shotgun actually does

I played last night. Shotguns felt fine,still saw a few people able to down 3 or 4 guys with ease. People are just more cautious with them now.No more charging in blindly with no fear.now that the shotgun ammo is precious they choose their battles more carefully

And few other pve changes I might miss some other nerf but the point is shotgun was nerfed more than 4 times as I can remember.

1 RespuestaI feel if the special ammo debacle was changed and players actually could use shotguns more that there would be more info as to if these changes were indeed good or bad. The way things are now I won't be using one anytime soon.

See the forest for the trees. This patch was about about reducing the spectrum of engagement range and greatly reducing the number of one hit kills. Period. The extreme ends of range spectrum have had its legs chopped off for most players, effectively shortening the playing field to a more forgiving middle ground where mistakes can be survived more frequently. All of the weaker players touting the patch and their so-called new found abilities are giving themselves far too much credit. They didn't wake up better players. You were assisted via manufacturing.....again. Right now the standing line for this assisted living is long, but it won't last. Never does.

6 RespuestasI still have success with them but, you're right. The removal of crit and in air accuracy is nonsense. The in air accuracy nerf is just there to help the low skilled players. Without that crit chance you almost always need a melee attack to follow it up.

9 RespuestasThe ammo change and the removal of critical damage on shotguns was needed. Everything else was in the right place, but overdone. I'm sorry, but if you want shotguns to go back to before then your an effing moron. At least now there is some ACTUAL diversity in special weapons

It was a bit extreme. This is why you have to be careful what you complain about to Bungie. They tend to overreact and go overkill on things. That is why I never ask for nerfs.
