The 'Good times' were weird. Couldn't buy alcohol, but an automatic firearm? No problem. At least the SMG shed it's image during WW2.

1 RespuestaDon't ban them. First limit their range. Then make the ammo harder to get/How often you can buy it. When you are done shooting you have to turn in the ammo when you are done shooting and buy new ammo the next time you go out. Then make handguns inaccurate. Limit range of shotguns[spoiler]the weapon fix patches are a microcosm of life assaulting our 2nd amendment rights [/spoiler]

That's actually the defense for it. One all the criminals will have guns while the law abiding citizens won't. And the reason for getting rid of guns is so CRIMINALS don't go committing crimes. I love how they think that all criminals get their firearms legally. A ban on firearms would take the weapons out of the hands of the "good guys" and leave them practically untouched with the "bad guys".

Jeff Sessions said, "Good people don't smoke marijuana." Really Jeff? Well, good people don't call lawyers a "disgrace to their race" for representing black clients. While I personally don't believe if guns should be banned, these comments are dumb. Most illegal gun are originally obtained legall and then sold illegally. Illegal weapons are very rare and very expensive and moat common thugs probably couldn't afford one. Also the reason crime rates soar during prohibition was because they banned a substance used by most of the public. The market was still there. Banning weapons wouldn't cause as much of a problem because while there still is an illegal weapons market, it's hard to break through and most citizens don't take part in it.

5 RespuestasBecause you can't really make a high quality gun in your bath tub, even though 3D printing is getting better. It's a fact that the legal market fuels the illegal one. I don't advocate a complete ban of guns, but arguments like these are really unfounded and show a lack of understanding of how access to weapons works.
