Bungie turned what was a fun and exciting game into a bland Vanilla shooter.
Destiny was different now its just Call of Duty in space. With every half assed nerf the game loses more and more of what set it apart.
This joke of a patch goes to show how little they think of us as customers. Which ultimately we are. Bait and switch is a shit tactic.
Destiny 2 is now off my list of games to watch for unless Bungie actually steps up here and fixes this shit show.

It would be a better game if kill times were closer to the kill times in COD. Makes a lot more sense for the gunplay in this game to have quicker kill times.

Destiny is literally Infinite Warfare with Borderlands PvE and damage resistance on its supers.

Borderlands at least had awesome weapons and hysterical writing. Two was near perfect and I still play from time to time. Krieg!!!

Not even close. You kill people way quicker in infinite warfare. Infinite warfare is awful but even it is better than destiny's pathetic attempt at PVP

Bungie simply doesn't WANT this game to be Destiny. They want it to be the second coming of Halo. And this game just isn't Halo, but that is fine. IT IS a fun loot grinder with tons of weapons that COULD be exciting, and tons of abilities that COULD be exciting, but they aren't brave enough to let every weapon and every ability and every class shine in situations they were designed for. Instead, they are obsessed with making everything play roughly the same. This game was addicting as hell in Y1, but somewhere between the transition from HoW to TTK, someone -BLAM!-ed up BIG TIME, and they haven't been able to reverse course ever since, even though we have been highlighting every single issue that is effecting how much we enjoy the game. I'm not sure how anyone can feel good about pre-ordering Destiny 2 right now.

Spot on, I personally thought it was more fun in year one, even with all the ridiculously op guns etc. It was different, and exciting when you finally got that exotic you'd been killed by and wanted for ages. But then the nerfs started... and never stopped. What a mess they've made, and so much so that they can't even reverse what they've done it seems. BUNGIE! Put it back to year 1 and then make just A FEW tweaks to make it more fair game. And no skorri in ToO. Simple. I mean what's the point of having an abundance of weapons but only a few worth using!? What's the point of "exotic" weapons if all you do is flat out nerf/remove the exotic perks?!! Why waste all of the time you put into making them Bungie? Every weapon should be a viable option depending what players like to use.... wasn't that the point?!! Same with subclasses, why do you flat out nerf/break everything when all it needed was a SLIGHT tweak?!! The dumbfounded team you obviously have now couldn't make Halo in their dreams, how can the once praised Bungie let this joke of a game (in its current state) be associated with your name. Fix it, or prepare for a big flop on Destiny 2. Mic drop. 🎤 👋🏽 PS or here's an idea Bungie: try getting it right first time around. Stop wasting your time, and ours, with this never ending juggling act. We just want to play the game so use the time saved making new content for us to play!!!!!

Lol I didn't even thought of preordering Destiny 2, and seeing the path the game has taken I will only buy Destiny 2 if it shines bright as -blam!- (and with that I mean that Bungie actually learns how to make everything special, new and refreshing), not if it's like the actual Destiny with a couple of new features and the same bland, underpowered (and growing weaker for every balance patch released) weapons and subclasses. Right now all my focus goes to NieR: Automata and the sexy protagonist of it, 2B [spoiler]I swear I can't wait for march 10, so much hype[/spoiler]

Just a reminder: "IT IS a fun loot grinder with tons of weapons that COULD be exciting..." that you have to dismantle since they don't add vault space.

They could add all the vault space in the world, but none of the guns in Y2 are worth keeping in the long-term like they were in Y1. Y1 guns were special. Very few Y2 guns are special. Most people have full vaults because its full of treasured Y1 gear they can no longer use because - Bungie.

Most people running with ARs , pulse rifles (aka battle rifles) and sidearms (aka magnums). I felt so weak in my super, it was almost not worth popping. If mediocrity is Bungies goal, then they're well on their way.
