That's what I thought. I misunderstood part of your comment. The super black shader wasn't part of a main quest line if I remember. I think it had something to do with Eris, but if it wasn't for a buddy telling me what I had to do I would have never even gotten the shader. Maybe it had something to do with the box of raisins. Yeah, trade your raisins for ascendant raisins from the speaker, trade some gifts and you got the shader. Yeah, kinda lame you can't get that now. It should at least drop in pvp like the old crimson shaders now. Same with that ghost ghost (I was unable to get it during the festival)
