Zavala's 7 orb FOH challenge
So I'm going through my abandoned quests trying to clean out some stuff,and I come across this gem.
So I think,really?
I give it a go. I know that at some point way early on they nerfed Striker to provide less orbs(I guess pvp whined about trading supers).
So I go to legacy strikes...several times surrounded by thralls or dregs...hit foh....kill everything. 3 orbs. Again. 4orbs. Again. 3 orbs.kill a dozen,get three orbs.
So yeah....that's what these dumb ass nerfs do to PVE.
Now,I'm not one to cry about nerfs on guns,and I'm not going to stop playing(pvp or pve),but I wonder how many little quests and challenges are unfulfillable because of all these thoughtless changes to classes?
Edit: Undying Mind does work. Exactly seven orbs when the precursors spawn in. I don't know about the steps yet,because in this one they had stupid ass taken there instead.

Edit again: It needs to be all three seven orb kills in one strike. Can't get the third because some dumbass is always wasting his super on the undying mind instead of creating orbs...so I can only get two 7 orb kills every time.
Screw it. This is the type of challenge for no reward that makes people start to hate the grind. I'm not wasting my time.

7 RespuestasThe 7-orb quest steps are literally the most bullshit steps in the game. When I was still trying to do them, without fail, some random from matchmaking would -blam!- up my super by killing one or more of the ads before I could get the kills I needed and my super would be wasted for 5-6 orbs. Hot digitty doo doo.

1 RespuestaUndying mind on level 320. Go in with friends. The stairwell that blocks you with precursor vex spawns consistent majors. Easily one of the best designs in the game for chaining supers nonstop

I just did this last night on the Undying Mind strike, where you go to get the item for Touch of Malice. Its easy, if you shoot the Mind until adds spawn, then FoH the entire group. Did it with no problems. Just stay close to where the Vex spawn in, and have a super built up. I just ran around dodging Mind bullets until my super was up, then detroyes the Vex.

Stay at spawn area and build up super to kill the 4 vandals (2 are yellow bars) that come out near the entrance of the House of Kings area. Repeat. Sometimes the captain and dregs spawn instead which is annoying but just kill them and wait because the respawn timer is very short. You just need to move away a bit to trigger it. Alternative is this strike but sparrow back to initial Cosmodrome patrol area for the 3 hive majors that respawn underground.

If you get the first two on the stairs, you should have another super during the boss fight. Stay at the back of the room on the left and snipe the boss. When he starts to move to the back of the room, go around to your left into the passage, and a metric assload of Vex will spawn momentarily. Profit.

Underground hallowed hive on earth patrol is the best to get it done. All three are yellow bar! Just make sure ur alone cause some random may mess it up for u!

Editado por PvtBadass98: 2/14/2017 2:56:05 PMIf you are having troubles doing this. Put on crest of alpha lupi and go into the undying mind strikes. So many majors spawn that this quest is a breeze. I got all 3 class specific marks and like swapping them in and out with what subclass I am using. This is a collectors quest, don't like it, don't do it :p

I'd recommend Crest, and just take advantage on random strikes, that's how I did it, took a minute, but the headache ended.

I have that one too been sitting there forever. I think next time I do the Undying Mind I will get it done. I forget about it and run Hammers and then later on smack myself for not running Striker. Been doing this for a year now.

Yellow bar enemies are some of the best orb drops. Give it a shot!

1 RespuestaIsn't there a exotic that grants a extra orb? can't remember if titans have one or not but do recall doing that quest easy after the orb nerf, unless they nerfed it more.. three yellow bar enemies together will get you it but as i said can't remember if need exotic with 'extra orb' perk on or not.

At spawn, instead of heading up the hill, we would take our sparrows to the steppes. There are the three yelliow bar hive down the stairs not far from the patrol spawn point. Killing all three with a FoH or nova bomb will produce 7 orbs. You can take their health down a bit first if you need to. Good luck.
