Too late for Destiny. For Destiny 2, separate PvP from PvE. Combining PvP and PvE was a nice experiment and we all learned that it doesn't work.

It seemed to work fine last night when I was soloing a Nightfall. I'd think that if PvE was well and truly plowed, a solo player at 390 light would have issues completing an activity meant for 3 times as much firepower. Maybe I'm wrong, but my shiny new arc mantle seems to back me up. I realize that could just be my individual experience, but I can only see what I can see, you know?

How would rate the Nightfall experience now versus Year 1?

I want in year 1, but I've seen the videos and heard all the horror stories. Year 2, I didn't think it was hard at all to solo. It's harder now, but only because of the light level increase, really. Other than that, it's not such a big deal.

I find Nightfall to be much easier now. Maybe it's because you don't go to orbit when you die. I think it's easier because of the modifiers. Matching shield colors, for instance, was a feature of all Nightfalls and not a modifier like it is today. It's no coincidence that the changes to Nightfall came after Bungie nerfed all weapons from their Year 1 glory.
