Why Do the Bungie Overlords Despise Warlocks?

First off we know that Warlocks are distance to midrange characters. Why don't they have a super that really supports that, at least from a distance standpoint? Lance on nova bomb is the only realistic ranged option, otherwise voidwalker has to get dangerously close to an opponent for it to kill, usually at the cost of their own life. Stormtrance and radiance both have animation sequences that border on suicidal; while stormtrance can be a powerful weapon many times it feels underwhelming when compared to similar supers like arc blade and hammer of sol, which give life regen or overshields. As for radiance the sunsinger class in general has been so heavily "modified" that it is a surprise bordering on pity to see a player running this subclass. There is even a badge for putting down a self res warlock (and stay down). I'm all for sporting achievements but realistically this kill usually happens when the warlock is helpless anyway (see above suicidal animation sequence). They could do the same for other classes, such as kill a gunslinger before they get off a shot or kill a titan in their own bubble. There are also dodge options available for both other classes, but none for the less armor centric(read squishy) warlocks. Blink is as close as we can get but now has a negative impact to recovery as well as really only has limited directional control. The new blink related exotic helm could have easily been made into a lateral dodge effect similar to fallen captains. On the subject of abilities we also have the scatter grenade which is as likely to kill the user as it is to hit an enemy, especially if it takes a wild round on deployment and blows up in your face. Were it an isolated occassion I wouldn't mention it but it happens often enough to be worth noting. It feels as though the warlock gets the short end of a lot of sticks both in and out of game. Many of the official posters, advertisements, screenshots etc put out by bungie prominantly feature the titan and/or hunter with the warlock either lagging far behind or out of the shot entirely. Or of course one of the first supremacy announcement screenshots showing a titan and hunter squared off to fight and what looks like a warlock corpse. One additional point: who is an active Warlock NPC besides Ikora? I'll wait... ... ... ... Yeah I couldn't come up with one either. Bungie seems to put a lot of detail and attention into two of their three classes, but doesn't seem to hesitate and takes a fairly heavy-handed approach to matters of "balance" where the warlock is concerned.
