Why I think Overwatch is a dumb game
If you read this title, and you're now thinking, 'How could you possibly hate Overwatch?', then I'll tell you why.
Me and all of my friends all agree that despite all the good aspects of the game, such as the character backstory, the fun gameplay, the graphics, and the free added content, all of it is outweighed by those simple things that ruin the whole game for us..
1) The lack of story. If you think Overwatch has any story to it, then you're wrong. They have little character back stories that aren't even in the game (except for the stupid excuse of putting in their short story clips from YouTube..that doesn't fix anything). All there is in the ACTUAL game are a handful of characters, and the same multiplayer over and over and over again..it gets old.
2) The community. I'm sorry if you're part of the Overwatch community, but it is by far the most cringeworthy thing I have ever seen. I can't even describe how awful it is. So I'm just gonna leave it at that.
3) It's incredibly boring. I know that they added new game types or whatever, but one of my friends, who was HUGE on Overwatch for a while, agrees that the game gets old really quick. There's not really much to go for except some fancy cosmetics.

No, Overwatch doesn't have story and was never advertised to. So, would you criticize a game with only singleplayer for not having any multiplayer even though its advertised as only singleplayer? You'll have to give reasoning to the overwatch community sucking. I'm all for hearing about it, but the best you've got is "Is by far the most cringeworthy I have seen" is the best reasoning you can give? Yes, the game gets repetitive nature and small map collection.

1. Developed and advertised as a multiplayer-only game. You could just as easily criticize a single player game that has no multiplayer. 2. The Overwatch community is not the only one with a negative side. League of Legends, Eve Online, Battlefield, Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive or a few examples. Unless players have a direct impact on your experience then it shouldn't bother you or influence your view of the game. 3. Completely subjective.

Hey I got it the day it came out and played it for like a month. Then it got boring and I played destiny again. Now I am playing overwatch again and it has been a couple of months. Before I just didn't play enough hanzo and Ana to make the game fun for me.

The bodybuilding zarya, the 60 year old ana, and the mech driver dva who spends most the game in their mech. So much for sex appeal, and even then, the people who do play those heroes, often dont use the most revealing skins. They use huntress widow, or t.racer. They also say [b][u]its a kid game[/u][/b], because of its art style. Ok, its a art style, is rick and morty a kids show because its a cartoon? Its not a kids game, if it wasent the characters who do have a form of sex appeal would not be present, some of the character backrounds would not be so dark, and teamwork would not be present They also like to bash its [b][u]"lack of content"[/u][/b]. I like to be fair, i hate the skin unlock sytem too, but the game has tons of depth to it. All 22 characters are the game. A hero for everyone, and a game in each hero, who all can contribute in their own way, or have a composition built around just them. The possibilities are really endless, Most played when the game was fresh so the idea of compositions never came about, now that people understand each hero, there really is a lot more depth The fact is the community continues to grow, and the game is setting and breaking records. Unfortunately for uncharted, it just couldent compete. Maybe something like titanfall 2, or bf1 could have beat overwatch, but overwatch's take on hero shooter is very hard to top

11 Respuestas1) It's not meant to have an in-game story, it's a multiplayer game first and foremost. If you expected a story and didn't get one, that you're fault for buying a game that isn't for you, not the game's fault for prioritizing certain aspects. 2) Every Blizzard game has porn made of it, get over it. The in-game community is friendly if you don't join a comp match yelling about how you're the best genji and everyone else needs to switch. 3) Subjective, I find that climbing the skill gap is enough to keep me entertained.

Can't really hold that against Overwatch as every game at some point will become stale and repetitive. The thing with Overwatch is that you keep playing to improve and get better. Overall: I respect and for the most part agree with every complaint you have of the game.
