It's because everyone is self conscious. This is what happens with too much competition standing between success. This is what happens when materials are flaunted in front of the masses faces. Movies are full of whole hearted better looking women, people driving lambos, people like Kim Kardashian getting everything for nothing. Think about it. At the end of every movie or show, the guy gets the girl of his dreams, the job he wants, a defining life, and usually a bunch of money. We watch as assholes get everything and nice guys finish last. That's our society. Which is the complete opposite of an ideal society. But through fear, the ones willing to use that fear, have the ability to control it. Then use it against the masses to divide them, and diminish their strength of unity. There is no superior race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. None of these define the person, just describe their human image and spiritual/sexual interests. Assholes exist in all of these descriptions. Saints exist in all. And laws and policies made by authorities are there to protect our society and the people within its reign. Laws are not made to divide the white from the black, the Christian from the Muslim, or the gay from the straight. They are there to divide the good from the bad. The peaceful from the violent. The moral human from the immoral human. Through fear we have decided this country and world need those assholes to stand up to other assholes in the greater defense. To use the violent tendencies in areas where violence is considered necessary for survival. We are a world set up for failure. And as we parade around with our white flags promoting peace and civility, we are blind to black flag we actually stand under as people. We are a species given a gift of consciousness and thought. We use it for manipulation of others, of our enviroment, and of ourselves. The only thing keeping us from using the other 90 percent of our brains is realizing our brains are not machines, rather something we cannot understand. You can look at a brain all you want without finding the one piece that actually makes it work. You can only find its fuel and it's material makeup. Imagine 7 billion brains given 1 task to accomplish. The possibilities are truly endless.

I think as far as gaming goes what we see is just a ripple to what is a giant wave of snowflakism going around the world lately. I am a centrist and I have a distaste of over exposure to either liberal or conservative behavior but man we could do to move a little more to right. Not too far though just enough to put us back in center.
