Hunters pointless melee
Really gets my back back up how utterly crap the hunters melee really is. I find it completely pointless and serves no point. Can any one offer any tips to make it more powerful?

Hunter non charged melee is bad. But that's just the non charged melee. Knives are precision based. Don't miss. Smoke is a good anti rush and pre-meditative ability. Use it when you think an enemy is about to push or know if they are around a corner. Hunter melee is pretty damn good.

3 RespuestasI started the alpha, beta, and game with a titan. Last year I said screw and made a warlock and a hunter... fell in love with the hunter class.. and ran it non stop.. Last week I started my warlock..... My point... I now try to melee everything because I can on a warlock and at shotgun distance/power at that. Say what?! Titan melee are hard to get right because of the t-Rex arms, but they do damage when done right. Hunters is a joke except for those that know how to get blink strikes... I do not. Warlocks makes me beyond giddy because it is op as F.

2 RespuestasDafaq? Blink strike is an insta-kill from behind, has a range that rivals the warlock and recharges in about 5 seconds.

I don't know about that i use the knife throw to absolutely dominate the crucible. The smoke isn't that bad either if you don't mind changing it every now and then.

4 RespuestasHunters have a melee that can cross map (Throwing Knives), a melee that can one shot kill (Blade Dancer melee) and a melee that can incapacitate an enemy or make you invisible (smoke)... ...if you can't make one of them work, then the issue isn't with the class, the problem is you.

3 RespuestasFor gunslinger, what you can do is weaken your opponent with a precision hand cannon shot, and finish them off with with a precision throwing knife. It's a very effective combo that's saved my life a few times.

Blink strike is really good with a shortly or sniper. Throwing knives are great in the right hands. And smoke, well that shit is stupid. There base melee I think is fine considering they have two throwable melees. #Tamponmasterrace

When I run Gunslinger I often forget about my throwing knife. So when I melee someone, what often would be a wif turns into a landed throwing knife.

Gunslinger charged melee + two rounds from Saladins Vigil = death to hunter from any Titan or Warlock melee. Throwing knife head shot = any Titan or Warlock dieing of laughter

1 RespuestaI'm no hunter main, but I've noticed that the grenade and melee is more focused on utility than basic things, like max damage. I'm sure that for some players having a throwable attack for a melee is really useful - I like it enough that I just don't know what the point of blink strike is. I just leave it on invisible so I can turn invisible in tight spots or for a res. Again, that's a utility reason. And the grenades, pretty much the same thing. Not really as powerful as they are situation specific. The hunter class is really meant for that person that switches their weapons and load out to meet the challenge all the time, to me. More focused on gunplay and saving abilities than spamming abilities and going back to guns.

2 RespuestasIf you mean the non-charged melee, just use blink strike with Fast twitch, basically makes you have a warlock melee. If you mean smoke, you have to get good with placement.
