I got mine on both xbox and ps4 on just my secocnd hard mode completion.
I had the emblem on.
I had glowhoo shader on.
Make of that what you will.
edit, it worked for a friend of mine too.

You do not need to have the shader or emblem or the elidon in your inventory.

I told a friend of this and low and behold, he got his crux his next try after failing the first 20 or so. It may or may not be a coincidence. It's just what has worked for me and a friend.

I got my first crux on my the very first hard mode after it came out... Then 8 others running just as I was in chatter white. I am a crux magnet.
