BLOOM , GET RID OF IT
past year, the whole destiny community has come to a relisation that not only does bloom exist but it is on every primary. Giving shotguns an advantage . a game like destiny shouldnt have secondaries stronger then primaries by nerfing shotguns destiny wont be fixed. Take bloom out add range on primaries.

5 RespuestasI'm in favor of leaving bloom in personally, except for maybe on sleeper simulant, since its an actual laser. Just seems to make sense that the shorter the barrel the more inaccurate the gun. I've tried to hit a target with a pistol and a rifle in real life, its way easier to miss with a pistol. Also, before you check, yes i'm aware I suck at the crucible.

25 Respuestasi disagree. Bloom is there to make every shot count, and to add risk/reward for using weapons out of ideal range. If you take it out and add range, it'll go back to the days of hand canon shootouts from across the map, which people complained about too.

Like back in year 1 i never heard anyone mention Bloom on guns. Please GTFOH with this -blam!-ery. 14 RespuestasI don't envy this balancing act. Because of bloom, we all have HC with rifled barrel. Take away bloom, but leave RB, and we have a real problem. I've ways thought that semi auto weapons should never have accuracy bloom, in any game. The round should go where the cross hairs are. But because of the advantages HCs give you over scouts, you risk an entire class being obsolete. What do you do? Give a harsher falloff to HCs? We all got rifled barrel anyway. Take away rifled barrel too, and we are back to the shot package nerf debacle. I'm at the point where I don't think pvp can be balanced in the current state of Destiny. Perks push the balance out of whack. There will always be some perk combo that will push a weapon beyond its intended capabilities, and become the meta. It might be time to limit the crucible to green quartermaster weapons only.

3 RespuestasI'm not sure if I'm just confused or what... but I always thought bloom of having the same "cone after the shot comes out" idea, only with the vertex of the cone reaching outward, instead of pointing towards the muzzle of the gun. I'm not sure how many people experience this, but I can still consistently land shots from a distance with hand cannons. The sights just have to be perfectly centered. That's why I'm saying the cone is switched from what other people are saying, because at close range, bullet magnetism and aim assist kicks in, widening the base of said cone. Can anyone else relate? I see so many bloom posts, but it's hard to be able to say anything without knowing what they're talking about.

Has anyone tried to compare the spread of an actual shotgun to how they work in game? I feel like this is another point of comparison to exploit.
